Homegrown GRWM Cosmetics literally shakes things up with their newest addition of shades to their Mini Milk Tints: the Milkshake Collection. Issy redefines how lip liners are used with their newest release, the Lip Bait. Estée Lauder announces that they have updated the formula for their bestselling foundation, the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup. I love it when beauty brands release minis: the size is very convenient for putting together a travel makeup kit as well as for trying out new products before committing to a full-sized one. Happy Skin just released 2 mini setting sprays with a 16 hour wear time and I'm excited to try them out.

Blk Cosmetics ramps up their skin care lineup with a mini version of their best-selling Skin Reset Facial Spray, perfectly totable for skin emergencies. The controversial Happy Skin Jelly Blush is back, now with four new shades to try. Our girl Selena has been busy, expanding the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Matte Blush color wardrobe with three new shades. K-beauty brand Laneige is set to add a new formula to their lip-loving product lineup, the JuicePop Box Lip Tint Lip Oil Stain.

Shopping for makeup online has never been easier, especially with trusted local brands like Happy Skin available on platforms like Shopee. But with that accessibility comes a growing threat that’s been creeping into our carts: counterfeit products. Last night, Happy Skin CEO Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez revealed that fake versions of their products are being sold on Shopee, and the way these fakes ended up back in the brand’s hands is deeply concerning.

This is my last Monday Musings column for 2025. It sounds so final, no? I’m as straight as they come, but I could not stop staring. Her face is perfect. Every angle is symmetrical, her skin looked like it glows from within (I’m guessing both genetics and some serious treatments. But it wasn’t just her face. Everything about her was long – her hair, her neck, her limbs, her torso. Even her posture was elegant. She looked like someone fed a prompt to an AI engine and it came to life!

And just like that, it’s the last month of the year! I can definitely feel the shift in the air; the holiday rush is definitely upon us. Following the success of the first-ever Beauty Creator Summit last year, it was only a matter of time before the second one came to life. The Beauty Creator Summit 2025 took place last November 22 at KMC Solutions, One Ayala in Makati, hosted by the ever-energetic Mica Pineda. While last year’s event centered on branding basics and beginner-friendly tips, this year’s summit leveled up with conversations on collaborating with beauty brands and taking the leap beyond content creation, like launching your very own brand.

The love for K-beauty in our country is still going strong. Our latest proof: Korean cult-favorite, Too Cool For School, is now back in the Philippines!
