My top 10 favorite finds last April

What is it they say - happiness shouldn't be a goal. It's a journey. We spend much of our life thinking that if we suffer just a little bit more, we'd be rewarded with happiness in the end. By who or what we're not likely to know, which is why we shouldn't bet on it so heavily. We ought to try to find pleasure and joy in what we have right now. It might all end in flames - or not - but at least we know how things stand in the present, and that we can influence it.

Okay hope that made sense. :P Moving on, here are my top ten favorite finds last month!

I am a huge fan of Avon lipsticks. I was already pretty happy with the Ultra Moisture Rich formula (even with its limited staying power), but the Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick blows the UMR out of the water. It stays on better, while the colors are pretty daring. Hope Avon makes this line available again, stat!

My favorite brow product right now is the MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Dirty Blonde. It's the perfect shade of brown for me, and it still works even with my new slightly reddish hair color. It's easy to apply, doesn't slide off in humid weather, and looks quite natural while still giving much-needed definition to the brows. I wish MAC makes this permanent in the future.

And here's my current concealer - the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation. I've always wanted to have this since Lisa Eldridge featured it. Now that Digital Traincase carries it, I've finally gotten my hands on it! It's back in stock girls. ;) Love the heavy coverage and how it can conceal both blemishes and eye bags. It's not my shade as a foundation, but it works wonderfully as a concealer. Check out the demo in my review. ;)

There's no excuse to avoid eyeshadow when you have something like the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Rose Gold. This is incredibly long-wearing even without primer, easy to blend, and the rose gold color - oh, it's perfect! I brightens the eyes in a jiffy. It's rather expensive but if you need a flattering color, a kick-ass staying power, and something you can apply in 1-2-3,  then this is The One.

Still on eyeshadows - I really like the Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in RD299. It's light and pretty on the lids, jut perfect for a sweet, feminine look.

If you're in the mood for something smoldering though, you must try the Guerlain L'Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 14 Les Fauves. This is one of the best eyeshadow palettes I've come across. It's complex, flattering, and dripping in luxury. Love!

And here's my daily mascara, the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Dramatic Volume Mascara. This volumizes and lifts up my lashes beautifully, and stays on even though it's not waterproof. I like to wear this when I don't want to spend oodles of time and makeup remover just to remove the goo from my lashes.

These polishes from the Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection must be the cutest, ever. My favorite is that robin blue shade - it looks like a dinosaur egg when worn! Well okay dino eggs probably look a lot less prettier. :P Here's the swatch!

Again from Etude House, I am loving the AC Clinic Intense Red Spot Balm. This calms down angry red popped pimples in no time! Swear! It's kinda hard to believe considering its a product from a cutesy brand and not something from the derma, but holy guacamole does this stuff work. It's pretty effective on me, but I can't guarantee the same for you ha. It depends. I hope you get the same results!

Last but not least, here's the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Lilac Rose. Highlighters are much maligned for making skin look oilier than it is, but they actually help perfect the complexion. If you already have fairly okay skin and just want that extra pinkish glow - the real deal - then something like this Bobbi Brown highlighter/blush can do it for you.

Pssst...here are a couple of dupes. The shimmer and pink are more pronounced but the principle is the same. ;)

Etude House Dear My Blooming Cheek Blush in Breathless Pink or

Etude House Princess Etoinette Heart Blusher

Sue me, I just really happen to have a lot of Etude House stuff. :P Any good finds last month?
