This Japanese serum makes hair super shiny in just a minute!

If like me, you don’t have the time, budget, or patience to sit through a salon hair treatment, you’re going to want to add the Kracie Dear Beauté Himawari Oil in Treatment Gloss & Repair to your shower essentials ASAP.

To be honest, I never really cared much about my hair before I let Sam dye my hair (for the first time ever!) in a rocking purple hue. While I totally loved the crazy color, the bleaching process totally fried my hair to the texture of straw. My hair became dry and rough and prone to tangles and split ends! For a while I tried to manage it with tubs of conditioning treatments that only seemed to help if I applied them every day. Eventually I got tired of doing these daily 10 minute-long hair masks, and just had the damaged hair chopped off.

Had I known about the Gloss & Repair treatment back then, the process would not have been such a hassle. This sulfate-free treatment serum only needs 1 to 2 minutes to work its magic! It’s formulated with the same sunflower goodness as in my HG Himawari Oil in Shampoo, with a “highly concentrated Premium Sunflower OIl EX and Sunflower Shine Lipid [to] help hair retain its internal moisture, while enhancing its appearance and making it smooth and lustrous”. Kracie recommends this for dull and dry hair.

Like all of Kracie’s hair products, the Gloss & Repair treatment smells ah-may-zing! It has a sweet, fruity floral scent that reminds me of Japanese candy. Fortunately, the fragrance lingers even after rinsing, and even my husband remarked on how good my hair smelled. I could give this product a rave review based on the scent alone, but it performs so well, too!

Although my hair hasn’t been colored in a long while, it’s straight, somewhat thick, and totally flat. It bores me and I unfortunately don’t know how to style it. I immediately noticed how much softer it felt after rinsing off the treatment but it didn’t seem too different from the results I’d get from conditioners. I only got to appreciate the effects of the Gloss & Repair treatment the next day, while I was getting ready for work and noticed how shiny my hair looked. It’s not the oily kind of shine either - the strands felt as smooth and airy as silk, with a healthy-looking gloss! My hair is naturally dark brown with a lot of red tones, and the glossiness gives it chocolate highlights.

My strands feel well-moisturized and it lasts a few days before the plush texture completely fades away. It’s recommended to use Gloss & Repair once a week, which seems like a reasonable schedule. You might need to apply it twice a week if you have colored or treated hair, but considering that you only need to leave it on for a minute or two, it’s so much more efficient than other hair conditioning masks.

Well, what are you waiting for? Kracie Dear Beauté Himawari Oil in Treatment Gloss & Repair is P695 for 200g, and available for purchase at Beauty Bar, select SM Beauty stores, and the Beauty Box online store.
