Exploring clean skin and #LifeGoals with BDJ and Neutrogena

What if you wanted a change? What if you’re looking for something better? What if you dared to dream and strive to do? Just realizing that there are endless possibilities available is a source of empowerment, but sometimes we need a little help to become aware of them. Neutrogena and Belle De Jour offered a fun afternoon of imagination and positivity as we learned about the newly formulated range of Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleansers and created inspiring vision boards with Trixie Esguerra!

Clean skin story

The Neutrogena Deep Clean line has been a brand bestseller for many years, but now they’re available in a new formulation with more variants that cater to specific skin needs. While some foam cleansers have a reputation for drying out the skin, a third of Deep Clean’s formula is actually made of pure glycerin. Glycerin has the ability to grab water from the environment and infuse into the outer surface of the skin, making it soft and moisturized. Dermatologist Dr. Mabelle Fernandez-Colayco explained the difference between humectants and occlusives, and how products that contain glycerin can strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier.

Dr. Mabelle Fernandez-Colayco

The OG Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser (P219) can be used by all skin types. I was surprised to discover that it contains beeswax, an occlusive ingredient that serves as a barrier to help lock in moisture into the skin. Pimples are a common skin problem, so the Deep Clean Cleanser for Acne-Prone Skin (P239) is formulated with a natural botanical complex that fights acne-causing bacteria, and helps remove excess sebum and dead skin cells. For dry skin, the Deep Clean Brightening Cleanser (P239) has a whitening vitamin complex to turn the dull and lackluster into radiant. Finally, Neutrogena also offers the Deep Clean Energizing Cleanser (P209) with natural botanical extracts to revive tired skin.

Neutrogena’s entire range is super accessible, as you can find them at all Watsons stores.

The Vision Mission

After dishing on skincare, vision board coach Trixie Esguerra (aka @positivitrix) took to the stage to lead the group into vision board making. It’s kind of like The Secret being manifested into actual visual cues that help remind you of your life goals and keep you on track in achieving them. These visualizations can be about your career, love life, travel goals, dream home, and anything else that you want to achieve. It can be something as major as working hard to get your dream job, or as simple as taking up a new hobby. And because your board is born of the desires of your heart, making it is a time to feel free and not be afraid of being judged by others. Working on our boards together also encouraged creativity and the eagerness to share, so it was amazing to see what other people’s goals are!

Being able to pursue these goals is easier when you have constants that you can count on, including your skincare! Have you ever tried Neutrogena’s Deep Clean line? How did it work for you?
