The Peak of Clean Beauty: What Happened At The Be Free by BYS Launch Event

We infuse the world with beauty through our actions, and BYS Cosmetics is taking that beauty to new heights with their latest sustainable makeup line, Be Free by BYS. The launch of Be Free was a fantastic celebration, set against the backdrop of art and lush gardens at Palacio De Memoria. It was a night filled with mouthwatering food, delightful drinks, and lots of fun. We enjoyed a mesmerizing makeup demonstration and even had a fashion auction for a cause.

The true highlight of the event was undeniably the complete Be Free line, boasting an impressive collection of 16 vegan products designed for complexion, lips, brows, and eyes. This exquisite lineup stole the spotlight, offering a diverse range of options to enhance every aspect of one's beauty routine.

The talented makeup artist, Gerry Penaso, captivated the audience with his expertise by showcasing how to achieve a fresh and natural look using the Be Free line. The stunning model, Patricia Henson, served as the canvas for this demonstration, radiating beach babe vibes.

Gerry started the look with the Be Free by BYS Face Mist (P699 / 50ml) that doubles as a primer and refresher followed by the creamy and buildable Be Free by BYS Concealer (P799). The Be Free by BYS Liquid Foundation (P999) and Be Free by BYS 3pc Face Trio completed the complexion while the Be Free by BYS Pressed Powder (P699) sealed it all in. The new Be Free by BYS 5pc Colour Palette (P649) come in a mix of mattes and shimmers that are so pigmented he only needed one or two swipes.

Makeup and fashion go hand in hand with both items regularly used once and never worn again and that’s why BYS partnered with a pioneer in sustainable fashion for their event.

One of the delightful surprises for attendees was the fashion auction with a meaningful cause, featuring eight stunning outfits generously provided by designer Russel Villafuerte from Strong Village. The proceeds from the auctioned items received an additional boost as BYS doubled the amount, showcasing their commitment to making a difference. The accumulated funds were then donated to the For the Future foundation, further amplifying the impact of this charitable endeavor.

Designer Russel Villafuerte revealed that he dedicated just three days to create all eight outfits in anticipation of the event, demonstrating his dedication and creativity. He also expressed how Strong Village shares the same values as Be Free by BYS, emphasizing their joint pursuit of not only sustainable but also ethical beauty.

Representing the For the Future foundation, Raphael Galvez, a founding member, graced the event and concluded the night with a powerful message about building a sustainable future for everyone. In his speech, Galvez highlighted the significance of the fashion auction proceeds, which would contribute to their latest initiative: the establishment of a floating school in Agusan Marsh, along with their Student Sponsorship program.

Galvez passionately conveyed the empowering notion that anyone has the ability to make a difference and change the world, stating, "You don't have to be anyone else to change the world. It can be you."

During my recent trip to Osaka, I was thrilled to have brought along the BYS Be Free Lip & Cheek Tint (P299) and the Brow Gel Styler (P349). These two versatile products proved to be essential travel companions, allowing me to streamline my makeup collection without compromising on performance. The multipurpose tint was a game-changer, as it provided a beautiful pop of color for both my lips and cheeks, saving precious space in my luggage. Its pigmentation and buildable coverage were impressive, ensuring I could achieve my desired look effortlessly.

As for the Brow Gel, its short and flexible wand worked wonders in taming any unruly eyebrow strands. I discovered that for optimal results, allowing the gel to dry slightly until tacky before molding the brows helped them stay in place throughout the day. The natural and effortless appearance achieved with these products perfectly complemented the laid-back vibes of the captivating Kansai region in Japan.

For those interested, the Be Free by BYS collection is now available at Watsons' stores nationwide.
