Capsule reviews: Etude House x Annika Wester Wannabe Collection

Annika Wester is a famous illustrator who has done work for big names like Vogue, Anna Sui, MAC (to name a few) and has shown her art in galleries all over the world. According to her blog, her "...work presents a various number of characters, silhouettes and items displayed throughout her own stylish way of drawing. The features are softened and the colors often bright, which gives the viewer a feeling of joyful indolence..."

Cool right? And now, Ms Wester has partnered with Etude House for their Wannabe Collection! It's a rather expansive collection with a face palette, powder, lipsticks, nail polishes, scent and gloss combos, and even falsies all incased in Ms Wester's trademark artwork.

The Etude Girl is, surprise surprise, Sandara Park of 2NE1

Okay, this is a rather long intro, but I am just amazed by Annika Wester and Etude House's awesome idea in partnering with her. Whoever said that art and makeup can never mix is deadly wrong! So! I'll be reviewing some of the Wannabe pieces I have with me.

First off, I have the Etude House Wannabe Color Lips in #3 So Chic Beige. This lipstick made it to my current top five lipsticks  for very obvious reasons:

It is the PERFECT peachy nude for me! As in! Formula-wise, it's just okay since the lipstick can be waxy and doesn't last more than three hours. It does apply opaquely. You must try this if it's still available!

Then we have the Wannabe Last Touch. It's a gloss and perfume combo, not impressive-looking at first, but the idea behind is quite insightful. Do you ever add that last touch to your look - that last swipe of gloss, that final dab of perfume behind your ears? It makes all the difference right? The Wannabe Last Touch put that all in one tube so we never forget wherever we are.

The perfume is a cute floral, while the gloss is clear with sparkles

I don't have swatches of the Wannabe Style Nails set, unfortunately, but I can tell you that they are color-true from what you see in the bottle. I've already reviewed Etude House nail polishes last June so you can check it out for more detailed info.

EH polishes dry fast, are opaque in two coats, and doesn't chip quickly

And that's it! Whew! This is longer than I planned, but I hope you enjoyed the capsule reviews. :D What are you planning to get from the Wannabe Collection? Did you get anything already? Share share!
