Brighten, Sparkle, and Glow with Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown is one of the most underrated brands in the Philippines. The price intimidates most people, I suppose, but in my experience it delivers what you pay for. Each product does exactly what it is meant to do and some, even a little bit more! I don't want to play favorites but out of all the brands in my vanity, Bobbi Brown is one of the names I pick up the most. It's been consistently amazing since Day 1.

A lot of praise, I know, but it's from the very bottom of my heart. If you have a few gs to spare and want something that you will actually finish up, Bobbi Brown is a foolproof choice. :) Anyway! I actually want to talk about Bobbi's February release, which is called the Sparkle & Glow Collection.

Sparkle & Glow is designed to give the skin some much-needed lift and brightness. There's shimmer of course but it's very subtle and fine; just enough to bring light to the skin, but not too much that it looks tacky. I have one of the sparkle eyeshadows so I'll talk about that in a bit! In the meantime here's more information about the individual products in the collection.

Pricing: Extra Soothing Balm, P3,550 / Tinted Eye Brightener, P1,660 / Brightening Finishing Powder, P3,200 / High Shimmer Lip Gloss, P1,300 / Sparkle Eye Shadow, P1,600

I've talked about the Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadows briefly before. These are pigmented, super smooth eyeshadows that feature complex, twinkling sparkles peeking through the color. Nobody does sparkle like Bobbi Brown - swear! Black Chocolate (the shade I have) is a chocolate brown with silver and bronze shimmer. It looks great on its own but as with all Bobbi sparkle shadows it's even more stunning on top of a base color.

Here's a look I did with it! I blended it on top of a cream eyeshadow and I love love the results. It's a sultry chocolate smoky eye that's perfect for events! Looks complex but it's just one color blended out in a nice gradient.

So there you go. :) The Sparkle and Glow Collection is now available at Bobbi Brown counters in Rustan’s Makati (812-2507), Rustan’s Shangri-La (633-4636 loc 114) and Rockwell Essenses (822-9400).

A bit pricy but as you said, you get what you pay for. I'll leave this brand when I'm earning enough. But as of now, I'll go to my drugstore brands! The Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadows looks amazing. The shimmer is so subtle and it has a rich color. I never like products with shimmer, but with this one, I fell in love.

So expensive! I really wish I could afford it. Maybe in the future! :) I've never owned any Bobbi Brown cosmetics but it's definitely one of the brands I'd like to try out, when I finally have enough money to spare. I've been hearing only great things!

I really admire Bobbi Brown, they're never over the top, colors are always classy; but its too expensive. If I could afford it, i would most definitely get it!

More than the Bobbi Brown cosmetics, I adore Bobbi Brown and her philosophy in life. Yes, the price is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. I personally think that it's okay to splurge every once in a while on quality makeup products.

The Tinted Eye Brightener looks divine! Kung di lang talaga mabigat sa bulsa, no hesitations ang pag-bili.

"The price intimidates most people" is spot on. But then again, kung sulit naman kasi di ba. As long as we're happy with the products that we buy, it's never a "waste".

Oh, how I wish I can afford Bobbi Brown! I tried their long wear even finish foundation but it's really pricey for me... that sparkle eyeshadow looks gorgeous! :)

I don't have any Bobbi Brown products but I had the chance to test their gel liner lent to me by a friend. Na-impress ako because even without eye primer, the liner had good staying power. It would be so nice to get one of their Sparkle Eyeshadows for quick and gorgeous eye makeup.

I havent had a chance to own a Bobbi Brown product, but Im currently reading her book, Bobbi Brown makeup manual and I must say im a fan of her work and the products she put out, she really has passion for what she does. It's true though that you really get what you pay for, cos it's not just a concealer or an eyeshadow that you're getting, in this case it's Bobbi's years of experience, passion and creativity. :D

That's a beautiful sparkly eyeshadow! That type of eyeshadow really appears more vibrant on top of cream eyeshadows. The tinted eye brightener looks like something I'll need. Acdg to some MUAs, normal concealer can be applied beyond the dark circles up to the sides of the nose to form an inverted triangle. This instantly brightens the eye area. The effect is comparable to having an eye lift if done correctly. I believe the tinted eye brightener will yield the same result. :)

Bobbi brown is <3. I have the mineral powder. I'm eyeing to get the retouch powder as well. In this brand, it's not just about luxe, it delivers as well. I pass by the MOA store just to check the products, even if I can't afford them. Haha. And her book - wow. Maybe you can turn your chick lit into something like that? :)

Beautiful eyeshadow color! I have the Bobbi Brown manual when I started using make up, and I look up to her, but the products are just expensive for me, though I know its because it is high quality. I would love to have products from this brand but maybe I will get myself some in the future when I got more money to splurge on these worthy items. :)

Luxe collection! Love the eye/face brightening stuff. I have never owned a Bobbi Brown product but I do have a LONG list of what-to-get. Its just so hard to decide cause they are indeed expensive. Top of my list is their correctors/concealers. Thanks for sharing!

Bobbi Brown really knows what every woman needs in her makeup arsenal. She and her brand are a classic! Would love to have some of her products in the future! Love that eyeshadow and how you created that complex-looking eye makeup with it! :)
