Kiehl’s Introduces its Latest Tech, the Skin Snap! Plus How to Get Glass Skin this 2025

Getting glass skin is still the ultimate skincare goal in 2025, and it was exactly what the Kiehl’s Masterclass, hosted by Robi Domingo recently, was all about. I got to dive deeper into Kiehl’s product lineup and learn how they can help me achieve that coveted glow. I also had a skin consultation at their store using their latest mobile skin analysis tool, the Skin Snap. The personalized routine recommended to me included two products that we haven’t reviewed yet here on PV—so of course, I had to share my thoughts!

I got to try the Skin Snap at the event, and I have to say—it’s super convenient. It only takes about five minutes to analyze key skin concerns like Lines & Wrinkles, Visible Pores, Uneven Tone, Texture, and Redness. While the more in-depth Derma Reader Pro is still available at select branches, the Skin Snap can now be found at SM Makati, The Podium, Trinoma, and One Bonifacio.

The personalized skincare routine it generated included products like the Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution 30ml (P4,000) and the Kiehl's Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum, which is often recommended for achieving glass skin. I’ve tried these before—and if you’ve been reading PV, you’ve probably seen them reviewed, too. But what really caught my attention were two newer products released just last year and this year.

The first product I tried from the new routine was the Kiehl’s Calendula Skin-Soothing & Stabilizing Emulsion (P3,400 for 125ml), which launched around mid-2024. It features Calendula Flower Extract and a Triple Vitamin B Complex, which are a comforting combo especially for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin. That said, it’s formulated for all skin types. It’s a lightweight moisturizer that aims to stabilize and soothe, and the usage is super simple: just apply on cleansed skin, morning and night.

It felt incredibly light on my hand, so since my skin leans dry, I ended up using a bit more than usual. True enough, it lives up to the promise as it’s just as lightweight and fast-absorbing as they say.

I usually introduce new products into my skincare routine one at a time—it just makes it easier to pinpoint which ones might trigger a reaction. Good thing I stuck to that habit, because a few minutes after applying the emulsion, I felt a tingling sensation that made me wash my face right away. When I checked the ingredients list, I spotted Citrus Limon Peel Oil (aka Lemon Peel Oil), and I suspected that could’ve been the culprit.

The next day, I gave it another shot—this time using a much smaller amount. Thankfully, no reaction! I think I just went overboard the first time, and the higher concentration of Lemon Peel Oil didn’t sit well with my skin. Since then, I’ve been using just a small amount, and it’s been smooth sailing. My skin feels nicely moisturized, without any of that stinging.

Next up, I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Daily Re-Texturizing Triple Acid Peel (P3,300 for 30ml). It features a powerful but balanced blend of exfoliating acids: 5.5% AHAs (Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid), 0.18% BHA (Salicylic Acid), and 3.0% PHA (Gluconolactone). This product is actually designed as a pre-serum step, which is why it’s meant to be paired with Kiehl’s cult-favorite Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.

The idea is to let the peel work on refining pores and improving skin texture, while the serum targets dark spots and overall skin clarity. Used together, they make a strong duo in your glass skin arsenal—one smooths, the other brightens. I've been loving how this combination feels so far!

The good news according to Kiehl’s is that the peel is okay for use daily, even twice a day, and for all skin types. I’m a bit cautious so I use it every other day, mostly at night, except when I’m going out since I’ve realized how good my skin looks with makeup after using the peel. True to its claims, my forehead area is looking relatively smoother as well as my cheeks area. The effect at around 2 weeks though is still very subtle but I can already feel the texture improving so I will definitely use up this bottle. I also didn’t get any reaction with the peel compared to when I first tried the Emulsion.

The Kiehl's products I tried and mentioned here are available at the Kiehl's Shopee Official Store, the Kiehl's Lazada Flagship Store, and the Kiehl's Philippines website which also has a store locator if you want to shop in person.
