Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Pact

I initially wanted to include my review of this powder compact along with its soul mate, the Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream, but I thought it deserved a separate post on its own. It is A Really Good Powder, after all, one that I've been using ever since I got it!

Truth be told I was initially excited and then intimidated about the SPF50 the Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Pact has. Would it be too white? Higher SPF products usually have more titanium dioxide in them, a minerally-derived substance that's responsible for the white cast in photos (or even in plain sight).

There is only one shade for this powder and it will work for fair to medium skin

This super fine-textured powder delivers a smooth and flawless finish - without looking like someone smacked a flour bag on your face!

Thankfully that is not the case with the Sun BB Pact. It matches perfectly with my skin, having a bit of coverage that evens out minor imperfections. I noticed that mother of pearl is one of the ingredients - perhaps that's why it looks super smooth when worn! The powder is matte but not in a cakey, flat way.

Don't mind the whiteness; the Etude BB cream I'm using underneath is one shade lighter than my skin tone

It's also awesome when it comes to oil control. When used with its matching BB cream as a setting powder, I can go five to seven hours without retouching. I bring this powder along for removing shine when I use other face bases. I usually only retouch once if that's the case.

Overall, the Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Pact is a fantastic powder that excels at oil control, has high sun protection, and looks beautiful on skin. You have to try it if you're looking for a new setting or touch-up powder. Knowing Etude, this shouldn't cost more than P800! :) (I'll update you on the price when I have it)

So what do you think? Does this look like something you'll try?

I love using the Sun BB cream and have been looking for a setting powder for it. (My In2It compact kind of cakes on it.) Will be trying out the Sun compact now, thanks to your review!

Thanks for this review! I've been looking for a powder that can handle oil control really well and I'm taking your word for it. ;) Can't wait to try it out~

I just got the BB cream as a freebie from the July issue of Meg magazine. Good to know the powder works well too! I'll check this out in their store. Thanks!

I was choosing between this or the Etude House Dear My Blooming Pact but when I read that it has good oil control (5 to 7 hours!), I might get this one instead. =)
