Is the V&M Naturals CPC+G Oil worth the hype? I tested it for two weeks to find out

Not that I need much help in figuring out my next beauty purchase, but I enjoy browsing through store bestsellers to see what everyone else is loving. That’s how I stumbled on V&M Naturals CPC+G Oil while looking for an oil for both the face and body on BeautyMNL. It had over 500 5-star reviews and I couldn’t help but feel intrigued, especially since it was just P350 for a 30ml bottle.

I did a bit of research and found out that V&M stands for Venus and Mars, a unisex brand that focuses on creating all-natural products. Their formulas are designed to be free from strong alcohol and sulfates. V&M is known for introducing emu oil to the Philippines, an ingredient that promises to be a miracle worker for many skin problems. It became a big hit and developed a strong following for the brand, which then expanded their line to include more skin and body care solutions.

The unique product name is inspired by the oil’s key ingredients: calamansi, papaya, Camellia Japonica (a type of Japanese flower), and grapefruit extract. These four are supposed to have whitening properties, so the combination is recommended for those with dark spots and blemishes. You can use the CPC+G oil on both the face and body.

I have been dealing with a lot of dark spots from my acne scars, so I decided to test this and see if it could really lighten my problem areas. To make sure that any skin changes could be credited to the oil, I used it for 2 weeks with just a cleanser and a toner to complete my routine.

The oil is housed in a glass bottle and comes with a glass dropper. It has a faint citrus smell that fades quickly. The instructions say that it can be used as a spot treatment and for all-over application, so I figured that putting it on my whole face might improve its effects, I apply a drop each on my forehead, both cheeks, and chin then slowly spread it out in a circular motion. Once the oil is applied all over, I pat it in to improve absorption.

The oil feels very lightweight, not too greasy nor sticky. However, I only apply it as part of my night routine because I have combination-oily skin and it leaves an oily residue, especially on my forehead. If you have dry or normal skin though, this might be a good beauty oil to prep your skin before applying makeup.

My skin before using CPC+G

My skin before using CPC+G

Before using the CPC+G, my skin looked very dull and dry despite its oily condition. After just a week of use, I noticed that my complexion had started to brighten, and that my dark spots looked less red and inflamed, though they were still visible. After 2 weeks, I noticed that my face had become brighter and had a glowy appearance. It felt very plump and hydrated. My dark spots had also started fading so they looked a lot less obvious. My officemates also noticed that my skin texture had improved and I look like “bagong ligo”, which made me really giddy!

Though I had only been trying for a week, I was surprised to see some development in the brightening of my complexion and lightening of my dark spots! Of course, it does not work overnight and is best used religiously for a month or two. I think this is the best face and body oil in the market but if you are not a fan of the oily consistency, you may mix this with your favorite moisturizer or body cream for faster absorption. This is also good for lightening the underarm and bikini area.

The V&M Naturals CPC+G Oil has become a staple for me, and I highly recommend it! Have you tried any V&M Naturals product? What is your favorite?
