Review + demo video: Suesh Ionic Hair Straightening Comb

Ola! If you're feeling sluggish from the long weekend, I have something exciting for you! You'll love this if you love straightening your hair regularly. ^_^ The new Suesh Ionic Hair Straightening Comb (P1,200) is a godsend to anyone who wants to cut down the time they take straightening their locks everyday. It's a hair brush with special bristles that heat up, thereby smoothing down the hair as it's being combed. So neat no? And the price isn't bad at all.

The bristles seemed thick and bulky at first, which worried me since I have such fine hair. I got the hang of it soon enough though - the trick is to work in sections and then brushing the general area in one big swoop. The outer bristles don't heat up so that we won't accidentally burn ourselves.

Aside from the convenience, I love that you can control the heat down to the exact celsius you prefer. This is extremely important if you have sensitive, dry, and damaged hair like mine! It's actually a nice feature if you want to avoid any damage on your healthy hair. Suesh recommends 180 degrees celsius if you have damaged hair, but I use 120-125c on mine and it straightens my wavy hair fine. Maybe that's because I don't have a lot of hair to iron down, so be sure to experiment with your own hair to find the best temp!

It only took me five minutes to fix my hair in the video above. Remember: hair has to be thoroughly dry before you use this straightening brush on it. You don't want to damage your hair and the brush! You can choose to use some products too. I applied the Tony Moly Make HD Silk Argan Oil first to moisturize the tips of my hair and then sprayed the Fuwarie Airy Bob mist to create a bit of volume. In retrospect, I should have applied the Air Bob after straightening to fluff up my hair more and to keep it straight for longer.

To turn it on, plug the cord in an outlet and press the power button located on the side of the brush for a few seconds. Then, adjust the temperature with the + and - buttons in the same row. You can view the temperature on the LCD screen in the back of the brush.

Overall, I am ridiculously happy with the Suesh Ionic Hair Straightening Comb. Now I can straighten my hair quickly whenever I feel like, plus the damage is easier to manage over time. Awesome find. Try it out soon and let me know what you think!
