Etude House Moistfull Collagen Enriched Cream
I'm extremely picky when it comes to moisturizers. I try something new once in a blue moon, but then I always end up coming back to Clinique Moisture Surge. That's one moisturizer that I know I can depend my life on. Others would break me out or cause my skin to look dull after a few weeks, but never my Clinique.
That's why I had absolutely no expectations from the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Enriched Cream (P898), even though it was touted to be the brand's best-selling product with 9 jars sold every minute. But surprise, surprise - it's actually pretty good! I use it interchangeably with my Clinique Moisture Surge Intense as they're very similar. Both are rich moisturizers that make my skin smooth and positively glowing.
They're similar in texture but the Moistfull has this strong jasmine scent. I love the smell, don't get me wrong, but if you don't like that in your skincare then I thought I'd let you know. I use only a tiny bit during the day (as in one small swipe on my index finger) as it can make me oily, but I'm more generous when I slather it on at night. I wake up with an oily film on my face the next morning. Scary I know, but once that's washed off my skin looks pretty good - well-rested and bright.
It can be intimidating to use a heavy moisturizer like Moistfull in the beginning. If you're oily, I wouldn't recommend it for you. But if you have combination to dry skin, the trick is to simply use what your skin needs. For example, combi skin has an oily t-zone and dry cheek area. Just apply a smidgen on your cheeks/sides of the face and that's it! If you're dry, apply it all over to maintain your moisture level.
As for pimples, I never had any with Moistfull. My pores aren't blocked up either contrary to what one might expect. ;) It has no parabens, mineral oil, talc, and benzophenone, ingredients that are popularly held to irritate the skin. I'm not sensitive to these ingredients per se, but if you are then this is a good moisturizer to look into.
Overall, great stuff! I would consider buying it when I'm out. Clinique is so expensive! But IMHO, it's more intensive and makes a dramatic difference to the texture of the skin. Moistfull is more appropriate as a maintenance product - it doesn't do much more than to keep your skin smooth, supple, and bright which is fine if you use a serum or don't need much beyond those basic things.
