Lip Ice Sheer Color

A week ago, a commenter named Audrephepburnfan left a question on my Ask Away! forum. Actually, it was more than a question - she left a review of one of her favorite products, the Lip Ice Sheer Color balm (P145). A few days later, someone from Lip Ice sent me a package containing their whole line. Coincidence? Looks like it!

Oh, but what a happy coincidence.

Two variants: strawberry and fragrance-free

This product is awesome! It's definitely worth all the raves. :D And to think this is only P145 (2 grams) and easily available in SM Department Stores and Watsons. What I like most about it is how gorgeous the color is. It has a nice glossy finish and comes off as a pretty pink, emphasizing the natural pigmentation of your lips.

So, for a change, here's Audreyhepburn fan's review of Lip Ice Sheer Color!

I'm currently using this product called LipIce Sheer Color. It is a clear balm which turns your lips pink depending on your moisture level. I have read reviews about it before I purchased myself one. My verdict: THE BEST lip balm/color ever. Not only does it bring a friendly color, it also keeps your lips moisturized even if the gloss has dried out. The color is also absorbed by the lips so it will not leave a stain when you eat or drink, so you will have cute pink lips for a long time. Plus, it only costs P145 at Watsons and SM Beauty Department Store.

Now I want to know, are there readers of Project Vanity who use this magical product?

I agree with everything she said! Check out how lovely this product looks on my lips:

Definitely a great way to spend your P145. Count me in as one of the Lip Ice fans now, I'm buying this stuff when I run out!

It's one of my faves, too! Esp when I'm too lazy to wear lipstick for the day. Mine turns into a deep fuchsia (prolly bec my lips are darker than normal) instead of pink throughout the day. I also love their strawberry flavored lipbalm that turns minty when applied. I think I have a dozen of those at home and I used to give them away to friends :)

Hi Ms. Liz,

Oh my! I'm so sorry I haven't emailed you my review with the pictures. But I'm so glad that you have finally tried the product.

Wow ah, "happy coincidence" indeed. YES! So totally worth the price. And I like the shade that came in you. Pretty!

I have some tips:

1) For a day look, 1-2 swipes is enough. If you like the Barbie Pink look or you're an adventurous type, swipe it 3 times (or more, haha).
2) If the gloss dries out, you can layer it with clear lip balm (but the color won't fade).

Thanks for making your review. Hope a lot of girls will be more aware of this great product. :)

i'm currently using this lipbalm. i just LOVE the nice strawberry scent. super nice and yummy. i love that it contains beeswax, too. i love that it's sleek compared to other lipbalms. it's my newest fave. i just hope meron rin sila nitong variant that will not change color. red doesn't look good kc to most pinay na morena (like me) :)

*raises hand* This is my favorite and I've urged my friends to use this too. =) Perfect when you don't have time to apply lipstick.

Ms.Liz, you look pretty before, but now - without your eyeglasses - I don't think pretty is enough. You're now jaw-dropping GORGEOUS =D

I was hording makeup at SM Makati last night. Said hording was due to Ms.Liz's post regarding Makeup on a budget.loljk. No,really, it was. Anyways, I wanted to buy something for my over-pale lips so I checked Etude House's 55 Kissful Tint Chou no. 1 and this Lip Ice. I wanted something that would stay on my lips forever sana kaya lang I can't find one =P I've read Ms.Liz's few reviews on Etude House so I chose their lip tint.

Now I just read this post, sayang. I should have bought this one. Ok lang, the Tint is awesome din. I'll come back later for that Lip Ice.

Can you blame me if I'm thinking that this is a lot like our old "Magic Lipstick" =)

I use this too and I love it! Did a review several posts back. Like Mara, it turns fuchsia on me. I also like their Fruity lipbalm, it's not waxy at all and is a good prep before lipstick.

To Ms. Eyzel,

You should try the other products of Lip Ice such as colored balms and gloss. Though the stocks here in the Philippines are limited, you may find the right Lip Ice product for you. Here's their website for more details on all their products! http://www.lipice.com.my/fbapps/

Lip Ice is my favorite lip product of all time! Their available is all Watsons and SM Department Stores.

Hope it helps! :)

I like the effect of lip Ice on you... It's so MLBB. I am definitely more intrigued to get this and try it out if will give me similar effects. Thank you for the review Liz!!! Thank you also for the additional suggestions from audreyhepburnfan. I am now convinced to really get one for myself.

Funny, I actually learned about this product when I attended your first Clinique party!! It was Rachael and Belle who told me abt it and I so love it, I have super pale lips and I just can't live without it now, promise. I was even the cause of delay when we had a beach outing and I can't find my Lipice, I insisted we go to the mall first before we leave haha! I love lipsticks but there are times that I don't want to look too made up. (It's georgette btw, not regina :;>)

Omg. I just purchased this lip balm yesterday in Watsons and then I read this post. Coincidence? HAHA. Anyway, I love this lip balm too! I originally wanted to buy a pink lipstick but now I don't have to because of this lip balm. I love the color on my lips and the scent too (it smells like ice cream). But I love that they sell a fragrance-free balm too. I used to hate my cherry flavored lip balm. And I agree that it lasts for a long time. I only had to apply once in the morning and it totally lasts the whole day.
