A lot of people have been doing this lately, and so I decided to join the bandwagon. Lol. It's fun! I've actually done it already last year. However, a lot of things has changed since then, so my bag also "evolved" along with them.
What's in my bag depends on what kind of bag I'm using (which in turn depends on my outfit), what I need to do that day, and where I'm going. Yesterday, I was in the office for a presentation, so I didn't wear much makeup. I decided to bring a makeup kit so I can do a full face for a media event I'll be attending later in the evening.
Forever 21 shades, Majolica Majorca makeup kit, alcohol, mint gum, keys, Tony Moly pressed powder, Estee Lauder Sensuous, wallet, iPad (forgot to add the Blackberry in the photo)
As with last year, I still don't bring a makeup kit on a regular basis, but I sometimes do when the need arises. Normally though I just bring powder, lipstick, cellphone, wallet, keys and an umbrella.
Ok, about my "wallet". It's not really a wallet. It's just a Bobbi Brown pouch that I got from a press event, but I love using it because it's slim (which means that it can fit in ANY bag, even in a tiny clutch) and discourages me from filling it up with junk a.k.a random receipts, coupons, and gift checks. I can fit only my cards and money in it, no more.
The downside is, it's nakakahiya to bring out when I'm paying for something. :P I need a snazzier, more formal version of this.
Very important: if you're going to be out the whole day, always bring a vial of perfume. It keeps you smelling fresh and confident. I don't like transfering perfume to plastic atomizers though - the perfume seems to evaporate too quickly so I feel it's wasted. The smell also slightly changes.
So if you can score these tiny glass vials, go! They keep the integrity of your perfume. You can get travel sizes or samples in airports or as GWPs (gift with purchase). Try to ask for them if you spend a generous amount in a store. I recommend Estee Lauder, they always seem to have these lying around.
And here's the kikay kit. I got this pretty pouch from Majolica Majorca a few months ago. I like bringing it around because it's boxy and keeps the stuff inside from getting knocked around!
