Beauty Roundup: Kindred's Next Chapter, the rom&nd Han All Faux Lash Mascara, Mitsukoshi Beauty's Birthday Sale, and More

This week's roundup has a little bit of everything: reassuring news for anyone who books their annual check-ups (or therapy sessions, we see you) at a certain beloved women's clinic, a new K-beauty mascara that promises idol-worthy lashes, some big corporate shake-ups at one of beauty's biggest conglomerates, and a birthday sale worth swinging by BGC for. Let's get into it!

Kindred is not closing, and your appointments are safe

If you caught wind of the worry swirling around Kindred this week, here's the update straight from the source: the women's health clinic is staying open. In a post published today, Kindred reassured clients that all appointments, care plans, prescriptions, packages, vouchers, credits, and payment arrangements will be honored under the same terms and conditions, and that the team is working to make the transition into this new chapter as seamless as possible. The clinic is also launching 24/7 support and care coordination starting today, so someone is reachable whenever you need help sorting out your care.

Core services remain available, and new appointment bookings reopened today, July 17. That covers OB-GYN, psychologist, and psychiatrist consultations, ultrasounds (transvaginal, breast, and pregnancy), the Metabolic Weight Management package, injectable contraceptives, and HPV Gardasil 9-valent vaccine bundles. In their caption, Kindred wrote: "Our goal has always been to provide a safe and gentle space for your healthcare needs. As we move through this new chapter, our absolute priority is to ensure you are fully supported." If you have pending concerns, you can reach the team directly at care@mykindred.co.

Rom&nd launches the Han All Faux Lash Mascara

Fresh from the brand that gave us the Juicy Lasting Tint, rom&nd just dropped the Han All Faux Lash Mascara (P645 right now at Shopee), and the name tells you exactly what it's going for: long, voluminous, faux-lash-level lashes without the falsies. The formula is infused with lightweight microfibers that build length and volume with each coat, aiming for that wispy, K-pop idol lash effect.

It's also built to last through a full day (and our humidity). The waterproof, sweat-resistant, triple-lasting formula promises to keep lashes lifted and defined without smudging or flaking. The Han All Faux Lash Mascara is now available on rom&nd's official Shopee and Lazada stores.

Estée Lauder is keeping Too Faced, Smashbox, and Dr. Jart+ after all

Plot twist in one of the year's most-watched beauty business stories: The Estée Lauder Companies has decided to keep Too Faced, Smashbox, and Dr. Jart+ in its portfolio, according to an internal document viewed by The Business of Beauty. BoF previously reported in January that ELC had engaged investment banks to sell the three brands as a package deal valued in the low nine figures, a steep markdown considering the company bought Too Faced alone for $1.45 billion a decade ago. Final bids were due in May, but prospective buyers reportedly weren't interested in taking all three brands together.

Keeping the labels doesn't mean business as usual, though. Too Faced is relocating from Los Angeles to New York with a leaner team, joining ELC's makeup cluster alongside MAC and Bobbi Brown. Smashbox stays in LA, also with a smaller team, while Dr. Jart+ remains in Korea. In the internal note, CEO Stéphane de La Faverie said the company is "adopting the speed, agility, and entrepreneurial mindset of successful beauty indies" as it rethinks how each brand operates. Origins is also moving under Deciem, the incubator behind The Ordinary. For those of us who still have a Better Than Sex mascara in rotation, it's good news that the brand lives to fight another day.

Mitsukoshi Beauty turns three with a month-long sale

Our favorite J-beauty destination in BGC is celebrating a milestone: MITSUKOSHI BGC is marking its third birthday, and Mitsukoshi Beauty is throwing a month-long sale to celebrate. Expect up to 30% off on J-beauty favorites across the store, from skincare staples to makeup you usually have to add to your Japan haul wishlist.

If you've been meaning to restock a holy grail sunscreen or finally try that lip tint everyone brings home from Tokyo, this is your sign to drop by. The sale runs all month at Mitsukoshi Beauty, in Mitsukoshi Mall in BGC.

And that's it for this week's Beauty News Roundup!
