10 Things You Have To Grab From Sample Room Right Now

Have you been keeping up with Sample Room? It's a local beauty start-up that makes samples available for free (you just need to cover the shipping!) and also allows members to "purchase" more products using consumable points. It's a great way to try out new things without committing to the full price, plus you can get more as long as you keep reviewing the ones you've tried from the site!

Here's a quick primer on how it works:

  • Sign up to get 100 points, which you can then use to get samples for free. Each sample has its corresponding number of points (e.x. the full-sized 90-gram Olay Skin Whitening Bar with Rose & Milk is only 20 points)
  • The products will be shipped to you - the cost of this, you have to pay for. You can then try out the samples!
  • Review the samples at the website so you can get the points you spent back, plus a bit more.
  • Repeat!

Now if you can't wait to try out more "expensive" products in terms of points (for example, the Zenutrients Muscle Roll Oil & Balm Set is 150 points), then you can buy 1000 points for P649 as VIP Member. These points may be consumed within two months, max.

Awesome, right? Anyway here are a few things that I picked up from Sample Room! These are all still available as of the time of publishing, so you better hurry if you're interested in any of them. ^_^

Hygienix Anti-Bacterial Hand Spray (10 points for a 20ml bottle). This is a product I like keeping stocks of; its tiny size makes it easy to slip in my handbag! I love the smell of Hygienix too. Aside from sanitizing my hands and other various things when I'm out, I use it to sanitize my makeup and brushes.

Olay Skin Whitening Bar with Rose & Milk (20 points for a full 90 gram bar). This soap is one of our top body care finds for 2016! It does help to clarify skin and even out dark areas. Def a must-try!

JOHNSON’S® Milk+Oats™ Baby Bath (50 points for a 200ml bottle). Use this on your baby or your feeling baby skin! It's a mild body wash that's ideal for sensitive skin. At 50 points for a full-sized bottle, it's literally a steal!

Silka Premium Moisturizing Milk Lotion with Avocado Oil and Almond Milk Protein SPF 23 (55 points for a 100ml bottle). The PV Team loves how this smells - creamy yet clean, with a hint of sweetness. The SPF23 makes it a great everyday lotion.

LipIce Sheer Color Strawberry - Color Changeable Lipbalm (40 points for a 1.2 gram sample). This starts off clear, but tints your lips a pretty pink once it sinks in. The sample is so cute too! It looks like a tiny thumb.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser (101 points for a 20 gram sample). I like stocking up on a few 20g tubes of this because it makes as a great travel cleanser. It's hydrating enough that I won't immediately need moisturizer after washing.

Kilo Off Powder Drink (120 points for three sachets). We reviewed Kilo Off last year and were pleased with the results. Our writer Marielle in fact lost 1.3 kilos after the 20-day challenge! The full box is P995 for 10 sachets so if you want to try it just to see how it tastes and works for you, this is a good chance as any.

Zenutrients Muscle Roll Oil & Balm (150 points for the set including 10 mL of the Muscle Roll Oil and a 50 g Muscle Balm). I play a lot of tennis, so when I'm feeling sore, I massage a bit of the oil to relax the area. The minty green scent is so soothing!

Cathy Doll Speed White CC Powder Pact SPF 40 PA+++ in Light Beige (200 points for a 12 gram full-sized compact). We haven't tried this yet, but it looks interesting! It's supposedly formulated for oily skin and offers quite a bit of sun protection.

Cathy Doll Geisha Moteru Gel Liner Pot in Black (130 points for a full-sized 2 gram pot). This looks interesting too! It's supposed to be waterproof and easy to apply with the brush.

So there you go folks! Do visit Sample Room soon to check these out and see their newest uploads as well!
