Why my dry, dull skin loves Kiehl's serums

Kiehl's has long been a well-loved skincare brand. They are on the pricier side, but you certainly get your money's worth if you find something your skin adores! I’ve been a fan of their Super Multi-Corrective Cream, and their Power Serums are popular with the PV community as well.

Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution (P2,995/30ml, P3,995/50ml), Daily Reviving Concentrate (P2,895/30ml)

One of the things that makes this brand so good is their constant commitment to improving the quality of their products and creating new products as well. Most recently, they reformulated the Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate and added two new serums to their lineup.

Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate (P3,185/30ml), Hydroplumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate (P2,730/50ml)

The Hydroplumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate (P2,730) is made for those who need more moisture and want glowing, younger-looking skin. The Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate (P3,185) on the other hand, reveals more radiant skin underneath.

At their recent launch event, Kiehl’s introduced their power sets for the busy, multi-faceted men and women. Did you know that you can mix and match their serums to fit your needs? I was happy to discover that you can choose your perfect set to address your skin issues.

I had a skin assessment during the launch, but you can actually avail of this service at any Kiehl's store so they can recommend the right products for you. My needs matched with the Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate plus the Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Midnight Recovery Concentrate (P2,895/30ml), Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate (P3,675/50ml)

My skin is starting to develop fine lines and the texture is beginning to show my age. The reformulated Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate now has 12.5% Vitamin C enhanced with Hyaluronic Acid to address these very issues aside from boosting the glow.

I have been using this for around two weeks now, on its own in the morning and layered with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate at night. Once applied on the face, it warms up but I didn’t experience any irritation. The Kiehl’s specialist told me to expect it so I wasn’t worried. I did see some clearing up on my skin with less of the tiny bumps that I’ve been experiencing since summer started.

As for the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, it supposedly restores your skin overnight with a combination of essential oils, particularly the “Evening Primrose Oil for skin repairing and soothing” and “Lavender, Geranium, Rosemary, and Rose Essential Oils for boosting healing activities”. My skin has been severely dehydrated for the past months and I’ve been layering product after product just to wake up with a semblance of healthy skin. It has been hit and miss so far but I’ve found that layering the Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate with my favorite overnight sleeping mask works wonders! I wake up with plumper, firmer skin so I’ve been happy to continue applying this combo at night.
