Glazed and Glossed: A Review of the Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum
Lips and Laneige are a match made in heaven, at least in my book. I always keep backups of the classic Lip Sleeping Mask and the newer Lip Glowy Balms in my stash, yet somehow, I’m still quick to hit check out whenever I spot a good deal in the official online stores. New releases also easily catch my eye, so when the Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serums finally landed in the Philippines, I didn’t hesitate to pick up two shades. After using them for a while now, here’s how the experience has been so far.
Since both come in tubes and lean more towards lip care, I naturally found myself comparing the Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum (12g, P1,060) with the well-loved Lip Glowy Balm. Right off the bat, the Glaze Craze takes hydration and glossiness up a notch by “infusing 95% skincare ingredients”. Think of it as a serum, but for your lips. Key ingredients in the formula include Polypeptides, Pomegranate Seed Oil, and Argan Ceramides. Laneige claims that “after one week of use, there is noticeable improvement in lip condition.” While I didn’t notice any dramatic changes, my lips stayed in great shape with no dryness in sight the entire time I was using the Tinted Lip Serums.
Aside from the moisturizing ingredients, Laneige also included the Reflecting Glow Blend™ in the formula, which has light-reflecting ingredients. This translates to lips that have a "12-hour High-Shine Glow" that’s immediately visible when I swipe the product on. It really makes the shades of the Glaze Craze pop like a glazed donut. Unlike the Lip Glowy Balm’s super, super subtle tint, the Glaze Craze can go from a sheer wash to a more intense color, depending on how many layers you apply. My lips take on color easily, so I appreciate having that layering option.

Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum in Raspberry Jam
Color-wise, there are a total of eight shades, but only five are available locally. I picked up Cinnamon Sugar (a toned-down mauve pink) and Raspberry Jam (a vibrant, sheer red) even though neither are my favorite donut flavors (I’ll take chocolate any time!). Between the two, I find myself liking Raspberry Jam more because of its slightly bright tone that works well for a lively, everyday look. I tend to reach for Cinnamon Sugar when I want to layer it over my go-to mauve tints.
In line with the donut theme of the product line, the Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum also comes with a donut-shaped applicator. True to its name, it’s shaped like a little donut, and compared to the slanted applicator of the Lip Glowy Balm, this one feels like a super soft finger when used on the lips. There’s a note included to be gentle with the applicator to avoid damage, so do keep that in mind. Personally, I just use it as I normally would, and it hasn’t been that fragile at all.
Honestly, I’d love to collect all the shades of the Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum because I can really see myself using them down to the last drop. They layer beautifully and are moisturizing enough to wear on their own. I do have to be a little careful during application since the formula can bleed out at the edges. And if you’re sensitive to fragrance, this might not be for you as the scents are quite strong and do smell a lot like their namesakes. But overall, this is another good one from Laneige. Moisture + color + gloss = a win for me!
