Happy Skin Relaunches the Lip Mallow Tint With Better Packaging and 5 New Shades
One of my favorite lip tints from the Filipino beauty scene is the Happy Skin Lip Mallows Plush Matte Lip Tint (P599). I have always liked its texture, stain, and longevity. The SPF15 is a bonus for me, as are the skin-caring ingredients typical of Happy Skin formulations. I even collected as many of the mini versions as I could, especially when they went on sale. I have since thrown those out, though, as they leaked and a lot of the caps broke quite easily. If there is one thing you could complain about with this product, it would definitely be the packaging.
Now in 2026, Happy Skin has addressed any packaging issues we may have had, relaunching the entire lineup with an updated custom component that is more reflective of their current branding. The new tubes are leak-proof and feel sturdier, so you no longer have to worry about caps breaking or product seeping out. The refresh also came with a few new shades, which is a nice excuse to restock if you tossed your old minis like I did.
The subtle logos and double-walled tubes showcase each tint's color more effectively. The stopper is also significantly narrower. The wand and applicator appear to be the same, with the familiar flexible tip still present. I'm happy they kept this detail, as it makes application quite easy. It even reminds me of my favorite high-end lip tint applicator. The popular formula, according to Happy Skin, remains the same, just in new and better packaging, with five additional shades to bring the total to 25. Do note that they removed some old shades like Vibin and Gatekeep in the relaunch. I have four of the five new shades, so let me show you the swatches.

These new shades are mostly neutral, making them a good choice for daily wear. I find it interesting that, in comparison, the Lip Mallow Tint bestseller shades are more striking, especially those in the red family like Obsessed, Lowkey, and Chai Latte. Having a wider color range to choose from is a good thing, though, as different skin tones will suit different shades of the Lip Mallow Tints.

I noted its longevity and nourishing formula when I tried the Lip Mallow Tint a couple of years back, and it's still the same, probably thanks to the Hyaluronic Acid Essence Complex and Squalane in the formula. These ingredients keep the lips hydrated and comfortable throughout the day, which is part of what makes the tint so easy to reach for. It's a multi-tasking product that you can use on the lids and cheeks as well, so it's easy to understand how the product has sold five million units worldwide. The versatility means you get more out of a single tube, whether you're after a quick flush of color or a fuller lip. I'd love for this new packaging and shades to turn into minis too, so we can choose and collect before deciding on our favorite shades.
