Beauty Roundup: Colourette Turns Ten, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s Powder, Blk Brow Bond, and New GRWM Envirocycle Bin Locations

This week in Beauty World, celebrations abound! Colourette celebrated their tenth anniversary. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde went viral (in the best way) this week for being a relatable “matipid” makeup queen. Blk Cosmetics continues their birthday celebration with the release of Brow Bond. Last but not least, GRWM Cosmetics’ Envirocycle Bin is now available in three locations.

Colourette’s 10th Anniversary

This week, Colourette celebrated their 10th anniversary with a casual get-together with their community members at Bakebe Baking Studio. Front and center of the celebration was of course Colourette founder and CEO Nina Ellaine Dizon.

Spotted on social media posts are glimpses of an “unreleased product” that attendees received as part of their party loot bag. Looks like another lippie is joining the Colourette family very soon! I will keep my eyes peeled.

Blk Cosmetics Brow Bond

Meet Blk Brow Bond (P399), a “high-grip, clear brow gel designed for all-day lifting and lamination.” At first, I was confused–didn’t they already have brow gels? What makes this different? And then, I saw the applicator.

The patented press-tip brush may look tiny, but it packs 54 bristles to help groom and press brows in place. The pointed arched tip just might be the thing to groom those recalcitrant brow hairs in place!

Yes, I checked. The Brow Bond is Blk’s third brow gel product, specifically designed to lift and laminate brows with strong hold. It’s definitely an option to consider if you’ve tried the Brow Lock Mascara or Brow Power Lift, and find yourself needing a brow gel with stronger hold.

Lisa Macuja-Elizalde’s Relatable Powder Moment

For an unexpected and surprising reason, prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde has been making rounds on social media this week. Her daughter Missy Macuja-Elizalde (missymacujaelizalde on TikTok) posted a video labeled “my mom’s makeup is on life support,” with the ballet icon seen grinding powder from the edges of her almost-used-up pressed powder compact.

Sayang!” Lisa Macuja exclaimed, chuckling while scraping at the pressed powder remnants. In her following TikTok posts, Missy shows her mother’s reaction while reading comments on her viral post. “Meron na akong refill, ready na. Uubusin ko na muna.” A closer look showed an unopened Human Nature Pressed Powder refill. We stan a queen who supports the local beauty industry and sustainable consumerism! Missy’s next TikTok post was–you guessed it–Lisa Macuja-Elizalde unboxing a PR kit from Human Nature. I hope this is only the beginning and that we will see more of this adorable mother-daughter tandem.

More GRWM x HMR Envirocycle Bin Locations

About a month ago, we featured the GRWM x HMR Envirocycle Bin we spotted at SM Makati. At the end of the article, I wished that they would have more locations in the future. Guess what? My wish came true! The GRWM X HMR Envirocycle Bin is now available at SM Mall of Asia and this week, at SM Sta. Rosa!

Same mechanics: exchange three empty GRWM boxes or 1 empty GRWM product for a limited-edition Lip Booze in the shade Hope. Congratulations, GRWM Cosmetics on this expansion! Let’s support them in this sustainable beauty initiative.

And that’s it for this week’s Beauty News Roundup! See you on the next edition.
