Beauty Roundup: Sunnies Face Fragrance, Issy x Slo Multiuse Liquid Paint, Kylie Cosmetics Mood Stones, and More

Happy Friday, beauty besties! This week's roundup is a big one for local beauty. Sunnies Face is finally entering the fragrance chat with a whole scent wardrobe (yes, Liza Soberano is involved), Issy and Slo Lopez are back with round two of their colorful collar, and a homegrown hair care giant just got snapped up by an international conglomerate. Plus, two international stories worth watching: the original Urban Decay All Nighter formula is coming back under a new name, and Kylie Jenner is launching a fragrance trio. Let's get into it!

Sunnies Face wants you to smell color with its first-ever fragrance line

Sunnies Face is officially getting into fragrance, and true to form, the brand is doing it through the lens of color. Sunnies Fragrance is a "scent wardrobe" of eight perfumes inspired by eight iconic Sunnies colors: Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green, Beige, Red, Cream, and Brown. Each scent is designed to capture a different feeling, and the brand says they can be worn solo or layered depending on your mood. The campaign also marks a reunion with longtime Sunnies muse Liza Soberano, who stars in the launch visuals wearing all eight.

The line arrives on August 8, and while the brand hasn't dropped notes or prices yet, the "what if you could smell color" concept alone has us curious. If the fragrances are anything like the brand's approach to lippies and eyewear, expect them to be very wearable and very collectible. We'll keep you posted once the full scent breakdowns are out.

Issy and Slo Lopez reunite for vol. 2 of their collab, and this time it's liquid paints

After last year's sold-out curated palettes, Issy and makeup artist Slo Lopez are back with Multiuse Liquid Paint, a limited-edition collection built for play. The idea is freedom: mix it, layer it, sheer it out, or build it up into something entirely your own. The collection comes in three color stories. Brights are high-impact mattes made to stand out, Neutrals are grounding mattes for shape, depth, and definition, and Reflects are light-catching shimmers for dimension and controlled shine. Shade names range from Summon (commanding red) and Moxie (punchy violet) to duochrome-leaning picks like Mystic (iridescent blue green) and Solder (chromatic copper).

Individual paints are P399 each, while the curated Brights, Neutrals, and Reflects sets are P1,499 apiece (marked down from P2,399). They're now live on issycosmetics.com, Shopee, and select in-store locations, with TikTok Shop and Lazada following on July 26. Vol. 1 of this collab sold out fast, so if a shade is calling your name, don't sleep on it.

Indian conglomerate Wipro acquires S Brands, the maker of KeratinPlus and AlcoPlus

Some local industry news: Wipro Consumer Care International has acquired S Brands Consumer Care Inc., the Filipino personal care company behind KeratinPlus, AlcoPlus, DeoPlus, Empress, Grips, and Fiona Cologne. This is Wipro's second Philippine acquisition after it bought Splash Corp. (home of SkinWhite, Maxi-Peel, and Vitress) in 2019, and its 16th consumer acquisition overall. The deal value wasn't disclosed, but both parties have secured Philippine Competition Commission approval and expect to close by August.

The good news for fans of these brands: S Brands will continue manufacturing all products in the Philippines, and Wipro says the team and business will carry on as is. The company, which says it already leads the local hair styling category and ranks third in body lotion and facial skincare, plans to bring the homegrown brands to markets like Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, southern China, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. Watching a Pinoy-made lineup go international? We love to see it.

The original Urban Decay All Nighter formula is coming back as MCoBeauty's All Dayer

Here's a plot twist for longtime All Nighter loyalists. Skindinavia, the supplier that produced Urban Decay's cult All Nighter Setting Spray for 15 years before the L'Oreal-owned brand cut ties and reformulated last year, has found a new partner: MCoBeauty. The viral Australian brand is relaunching the original patented formula, cooling technology and all, under a new name: All Dayer. It promises the same 16-hour hold and fine mist application, priced at £15 for a full size versus the original's £29.50. MCoBeauty CMO Peter Stocks insists "this is not a dupe and it is not an inspired-by product," calling it the same formula, same bottle, same spray, just under a new name. Worth noting: MCoBeauty built its name on dupes of brands like Charlotte Tilbury and Sol de Janeiro, and its dupe-driven catalog has attracted lawsuits along with shoppers, so the brand leaning on an original formula this time is a notable pivot.

For now, this is one for your pasabuy radar. All Dayer launches on superdrug.com, TikTok Shop, and Amazon on August 14, then hits Superdrug stores across the UK on September 9. MCoBeauty products do pop up on Lazada locally, so fingers crossed this one makes its way here too.

Kylie Cosmetics is dropping Mood Stones, a fragrance trio for every era of you

Kylie Jenner is expanding her fragrance lineup with Mood Stones, a trio of scents each crafted to tell its own story. Cashmere Muse is the fresh one, a floral musky blend of bergamot, frangipani, and salted musk for a clean, skin-like scent. Blush Wood goes soft and romantic with rose, honeysuckle, and cedarwood. Velvet Brew is the bold pick, an ambery spice scent with hazelnut, orange blossom, and coffee that reads warm and a little mysterious.

The trio lands on kyliecosmetics.com on July 30 and hits Ulta Beauty on August 2, so this is another one for the pasabuy group chats for now. No word yet on pricing or a wider international rollout, but if the gourmand-leaning Velvet Brew takes off the way coffee scents have been trending, expect it to be the first to sell out.

And that's it for this week's Beauty News Roundup!
