Chivalry sounds perfect for outdoorsy types, “a citrusy & woody scent that is clean yet alluring.” It features lemon zest, bergamot, and mint as top notes. Last but definitely not least, Anarchy is “a fresh spicy scent that is radical yet timeless,” featuring Calabrian bergamot and pepper as top notes.

Perfume refill, anyone?

Beauty giant L’Oreal has partnered with UK fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop, setting up a perfume refill station in its Nottingham store. Consumers can enjoy their favorite scents more sustainably, with up to 35% cost savings. It currently features best-selling fragrances from the L’Oreal group, including signature perfumes from YSL, Prada, Lancôme, Armani, and Mugler. Keeping my fingers crossed that it crosses the pond to the Philippines!

Must-watch documentary for Dior fans and fragrance aficionados

Have you ever wished for insider access to fashion and beauty’s iconic brands? Or wondered exactly how perfumes come into existence? This week, Amazon Prime released a new documentary that will allow you to experience that world. “Inside the Dream Dior” follows French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian in his first year as Dior’s creative director of perfume. His quest: to reinvent J’Adore, the brand’s signature scent. Aside from getting an exclusive look-see of Dior’s Paris headquarters, Kurkdjian journeys to Los Angeles, Tokyo, Grasse, and India to fulfill his mission.

And that’s that for this week’s beauty news roundup! Honestly, I’m not much of a perfume fan. Still, seeing new scents, affordable local alternatives, and sustainable options made me happy.
