Clinique Week: Even Better Brightening Moisture Cream Plus

Most days I feel like my ass is on fire. Figuratively. Like I have so many things I need to do and places to go, like 24 hours a day are barely enough for what I want to accomplish. Life is good though. I don't have anything to complain about.

Anyway, before I step out I want to share a quick review of the Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Cream Plus (P2,550 for 50ml). I've been using this on and off this past month and I love that it pulls through on its brightening promise. Anything brightening that works gets two thumbs up from me!

It actually reminds me of the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense, a moisturizer that I finished to the last drop. If I remember correctly, this Even Better moisturizer is the same texture, scent, and feel as the MSI. Same effect too, although it has an explicit brightening effect.

This is a thick moisturizer that takes a bit longer to get absorbed by the skin. Once it's all in there though, it doesn't feel too heavy. It's recommended for very dry to combination skin so if you're oily, tough luck! This is way too rich already. You're better off with the original Moisture Surge. I finished jars and jars of that stuff before.

I prefer to apply this at night, or during the day if I'm not planning to wear makeup. It has a tendency to make me look...dewy, which I guess is a diplomatic way to say that I get oily with this when the weather's hot. This is a strictly evening or rainy day moisturizer because of that. It's especially useful when my skin is dry, which was the case these last few weeks because of the weather.

Overall, I find the Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Cream Plus to be a great moisturizer for my combi skin and would recommend it for anyone with the same type, or drier. It smoothens, brightens, and slightly helps fade blemishes faster (although I use a blemish serum with it). Not bad for P1,700/50ml!* I remember Clinique moisturisers going for higher before, actually. Did they roll prices back?

EDIT: It is apparently P2,550 for 50ml. Maybe the P1,700 price is for the 30ml?

Let me know what you think!
