V&M Naturals is closing, so better hoard your faves, stat!

ICYMI, homegrown brand V&M Naturals has announced that they will be taking a break from production until further notice. Their many fans immediately shared their messages of support on the Instagram post, and started getting backups for their backups! Now, this is the kind of hoarding that I can support (please don’t buy out all the alcohol and face masks - other people need to protect themselves, too) but apart from the CPC+G Oil that Angeli (and everyone else) keeps raving about, I had absolutely no idea what to get from V&M!

Fortunately, the Project Vanity Community is alway generous with its recommendations, and they chimed in on their V&M favorites. Here’s what you should look for:

The brand first became famous for their Emu Oil (P1,370 for 30ml), which is a natural oil imported from Australia. Because it is very similar to human skin components, this oil is said to be ideal for hydration and soothing issues like allergies, psoriasis, and eczema.

Want to get the benefits of emu oil for your entire body and not just your face? The Bare It All Cream Body Sorbet (P380 for 100g) contains their bestseller and adds shea butter and mango butter for an even more nourishing experience. There’s a normal variant and a Minty one, which sounds perfect for hot summer days!

Speaking of summer, they also have a Bikini Bomb Salve (P380 for 50g) for lightening dark and rough skin. Use it on your underarms, elbows, knees, and singit for an all-over smooth and even skin.

For fans of tinted sunscreen, the Keep Safe Tinted Sunscreen SPF35 (P880 for 30ml) can actually be worn in the recommended amounts (about 2 fingers worth) without looking thick or cakey. It won as Katsy’s top pick as best local tinted sunscreen.

I personally try to avoid lip products with peppermint oil because of the potential for irritation, but V&M fans swear by the Smooch Lip Detox (P225) which brings the goodness of emu oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, and avocado butter to your lips.

What intrigued me the most was the Stay Rosy Universal Translucent Micro-Powder (P700 for 15g). It’s the first time I’ve heard of a setting powder that gave a rosy glow to the skin! I don’t often use powder because I don’t want to make my dry skin look flat and matte, but this powder sounds like it would be perfect for me.

Using pearls to exfoliate your skin sounds super luxurious, and the Pearl Luminescence Pore Refining Polish (P880 for 50g) allows you to do just that. The mixture of pearl powder and karanja oil is simply applied to damp skin in small circular motions. It’s gentle enough to be used up to 3x a week.

Finally, PVC members recommended the Silk Serum Foundation (P850 for 30ml) as their favorite daily face base. While it doesn’t actually contain silk, it’s formulated with perilla leaf extract, pomegranate flower extract, and kakadu plum extract to nourish and treat skin while giving it customizable coverage.

Stocks are going fast but you might still be able to snag something from Lazada, BeautyMNL, or their official website.
