Staff Picks: The sunscreens we swear by

If there’s one thing you must do for your skin, it is to wear sunscreen daily. Sunscreen is even more important than your moisturizer, because sun protection also plays a heavy hand in preventing wrinkles, fine lines, and hyper pigmentation. It keeps you healthy by preventing skin cancer, too, so there's really no excuse for you to skip this important step in your morning routine.

We've written many reviews about various products, explained the importance of applying SPF, and even listed some affordable picks to keep you protected. Today, the Project Vanity staff shares their favorites!

Liz: I'm a hardcore Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 PA++++ fan - I'm not even going to rave about it anymore, I think we've mentioned it one too many times here already, haha.

For the body, my HG is the Nivea Extra White Firming Body Serum with SPF33 for everyday. It's super light on skin but it hydrates and protects! If I'm going to the beach or play tennis though, I'd go with something like the Nivea Sun Protect & Moisture Cream OR Invisible Spray with SPF50. Nivea has the best sunscreens for the body, IMHO!

Den: Although I'm generally sensitive to scents, I actually like the smell of sunscreen because it reminds me of summer trips to the beach! I've been using Trader Joe's Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion SPF15, which feels light and hydrating enough to skip my moisturizer. My usual face bases (Happy Skin Don't Get Mad, Get Even Liquid Foundation and Juice Beauty CC Cream) also have SPF. I don't apply anything to my hair, but I make sure to use an umbrella whenever I'm directly under the sun.

Katsy: I love Shiseido's Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion WetForce Broad Spectrum SPF 50+. I was lucky enough to get it through Sample Room and I would definitely repurchase once I run out this summer.

Marielle: I love sunblock sprays/mist, because I'm too lazy apply and feel uncomfortable when it comes to sunblock lotions. I'm currently alternating between Flawless Skin Protect Mist SPF 70 and Belo Sunexpert Transparent Mist SPF 50. I try to remember to spray every time I leave the house.

Kim: Yadah Oh My Sunblock is my fave, hands down! I cannot recommend it enough for everyday wear. For more heavy duty stuff like when I'm going swimming or hiking, I always make sure that I have a Belo SunExpert Transparent Mist SPF50 in my bag.

Rae: I'm crazy about SPF products for the face! I currently have 3 favorites: Kanebo Allie UV Long Keep Gel, Biore Aqua Rich, and Biore Watery Essence. Powder foundations look so good with Kanebo underneath. I use Biore Aqua Rich when my skin needs moisture while Biore Watery Essence is for days when I'm extra oily.

Stacie: I just finished my favorite facial sunblock, Etude House Mild Airy Finish. It dries to a matte finish, and it doesn’t have that “childhood sunblock” scent which scares me to death (don’t ask why).  For my body, I’ve been regularly using the Nivea Super Water Gel. I got it online and I believe it’s not available in the PH as of the moment. It’s super light and non-sticky!

Do you apply sunscreen every day? Please say yes! What products do you rely on for daily sun protection?
