Staff Picks: Blemishes and eye bags are no match for these concealers

We may not have flawless skin, but we sure can try! A true BFF-quality concealer should excel at the following: blendability, color, coverage and longevity. Concealers should be creamy enough to allow ease in blending but be heavy enough to hide imperfections. When it sets, it should stay put through sweat and oil. Here are the Project Vanity team's picks for faking perfect skin!

Liz: I've been a huge fan of the MAC Studio Finish Concealer for years and years, but lately I've been picking up the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer more often. Love the coverage! The liquid texture makes it much easier to blend and this does not cake or fade even when I play tennis in it. As always, MAC wins in the color match department. Another HG is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. The wand applicator is so convenient, but it just runs out too fast compared to MAC.

Rae: I don't have a lot of experience with concealers because I found really good ones early on in my search. For undereye circles, I use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It doesn't crease too much and it doesn't look ashy. For pimples, I swear by Pink Sugar Our Lil' secret concealer. Once it sets, it's cemented on your face.

Katsy: My only concealer right now is MAC Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35. I've had it for a long time and use it on dark circles, redness, and veins.

Marielle: I made the mistake of thinking I could learn my way around a dual concealer kit, the kind you have to mix depending on your skin concern. Until this day, I have no idea how to blend those together! Luckily, I got on the K-Palette buzz and fell in love with K-Palette Zero Kuma Concealer Type 2! It's got heavy coverage that's not cakey, making it ideal for dark circles, The consistency is also sufficient for when you want to bake your makeup. It doesn't just slide off.

Stacie: My dark circles are my biggest skin concern, and the best concealer I’ve tried for this is K-Palette’s Zero Kuma Concealer Type 3. This one has a salmon tint to it, which is perfect for under eye color correcting. It does look odd alone so you need to blend it with foundation to make the color more skintone-friendly. It also doesn’t settle into my fine lines!

Angela: When I have really dark under eye circles or puffy eyes from crying (lol), I follow the red lipstick trick! I then top it with e.l.f. Perfect Blend Concealer, and apply the same concealer around my nose to reduce redness and make my face look brighter. It's also a good highlighter!
