The NYX Round Lipsticks you must own

Remember seven years ago when NYX Round Lipsticks (~P300) were the hottest things since sliced bread? It was the ColourPop of its time, that shiny unicorn that straddles the fine line between quality and affordability. The colors were trendy. We begged our Titas to bring a tube or ten back from the US. Now, the iconic Round Lipsticks, which I believe opened the flood gates for small beauty startups all over the world, are easily available in the Philippines. There's bound to be a NYX counter inside a big Watsons. They even have a flagship store in Megamall!

I've tried these a long, long time ago and loved a few colors to death. Now that I have them in my kit again, I admit I like having them around for the nostalgia. These colors are pigmented and creamy. They glide on like butter - perhaps, a little more than I prefer. They have a lot of slip, and I still taste that teeny soapy flavor from before.

Nonetheless, I had Tea Rose some years back and enjoyed the color so much. It's just the prettiest! This pink MLBB (my lips but better) shade is a classic and belong to many makeup lovers' HG list. I also just newly discovered Frappucino, another oldie but goodie. It's a gorgeous mocha MLBB that has less slip than Tea Rose.

Strawberry Milk is, well, not my color. It's a white-based pink lipstick that would probably set Nikki Minaj in a tizzy five years ago. It's one of those shades that did not stand the test of time.

Overall, I still quite like the NYX Round Lipsticks and would highly recommend Fruppucino if you're looking for a trendy yet classic shade. You can't go wrong with Tea Rose too! Have you tried these iconic lippies?
