NYX Round Lipstick swatches: Thalia and Tea Rose

When you Google for NYX Round Lipsticks you will find that two of the most popular shades are Thalia and Tea Rose. Every makeup enthusiast worth her salt has these shades in her arsenal! They're cheap, plus they're extremely flattering on most skin tones. The swatches were very tempting so I decided to snag these lipsticks when Carefree Shopper's next shipment came in.

Thalia and Tea Rose. They look the same in the picture, but Tea Rose looks a lot pinker in person. Swatches up ahead!

Thalia. For years, I have always been under the impression that NYX Thalia is a nude lipstick based on the swatches from makeup bloggers around the world. I was wrong! It's actually a pink brown lipstick that is only slightly lighter than my natural lip color. It reminds me of two other lipsticks I have, as a matter of fact - it's a good, cheap dupe of my Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Brownie Pink and MAC Twig.

I highly recommend this color since it's great for everyday and can be worn with any makeup look you can think of! That's the beauty of MLBB (my lips but better) shades.

Tea Rose. I first saw this beautiful lipstick shade in Shen's blog. She did a look with it, and I was wowed by how flattering the color looked on her! I wanted to get this in my first NYX lipstick haul but it was predictably sold out.

Tea Rose is a light pink shade with a satin finish. It brightens up my medium, yellow-toned complexion in a cinch. It's the timid, shy sister of NYX Fig and Louisiana

These lipsticks are cheap at only P160. They're not the best, since the texture is thin and the staying power not even close to, say, MAC. You will have to re-apply every two hours or so. Still, you're getting more than what you paid for because of the comfortable wear and wide selection of colors.
