Say hello to a classier Ever Bilena (with a side-by-side comparison of their old packaging)

One of the first makeup I ever bought with my own money is a liquid eyeliner from Ever Bilena. I was in college and wanted to learn how to finally apply eyeliner, but I only had a student budget! I remember bending in front of the mirror just putting it on, messing it up, and redoing it again and again until I got it right. BB Liz wasted so much product, but in the end I became more confident in going out with self-applied eyeliner for the first time. Eyeliner was my thing in college - I’d go to classes with full eye makeup ad thick cat eyes. That was my emo phase, haha, and it will always be a part of me.

We all have that Ever Bilena story. I bet most of us learned how to apply makeup with this brand!

It’s been 39 years since Ever Bilena became one of the pioneers in the Philippine cosmetics industry. They’ve evolved so much since then. Still, they remain true to their mission: to bring high quality yet affordable cosmetics to everyone in the Philippines. They believe that beauty should be accessible to all. I think they’ve succeeded, don’t you agree?

To celebrate the 39th anniversary, Ever Bilena has revealed a new look! They still have their tried and tested, well-loved formulations but they are now in a sleeker, more minimalist vibe. It’s something that can belong in a professional makeup artist’s kit or in a newbie’s first makeup kit. The prices are still super friendly with most products under P300. Let’s compare the new packaging with the old one side by side!

The EB Pro Studio Finish Foundation (P250) is a convenient stick foundation that is medium to full coverage. It’s great for evening out only the areas that you need, and blends out nicely on top of the EB Pro First Step Mattifying Primer (P275). Use the primer if you want to ward off oil and creased makeup during the day!

The EB Pro Flawless Foundation (P225) is a liquid foundation that has more of a satiny matte finish. It comes in four classic Ever Bilena shades: Natural, Oriental, Gold, and Beige. I really like the modern packaging - it really looks like something a pro MUA would have in their pack!

I think most of us has tried the EB All Day Powder Foundation (P325) at some point in our makeup lift. It offers medium coverage with a smooth, matte finish. Use a brush to get the best finish and coverage, and the sponge just for retouching.

Blend in the EB All Day Liquid Concealer (P199) to cover up any blemishes as well as the under eye area.

I recommend the EB All Day BB Cream (P275 / 50ml) to those who want sheer coverage that has more of a brightening finish. It’s a great way to achieve a natural glow on the go.

If you want eyeliner that pops, the EB Pro Glow-out Highlighter (P275) is a winner! It catches the light perfectly, plus a small amount goes a long way. This is one of my drugstore faves!

The Ever Bilena Volume Curl Mascara (P165) and EB Pro Lash Define Mascara (P275) are the two mascara variants under the brand. Go for volume curl if you want fatter lashes, and Lash Define for length. Lash Define has two mascara brushes - one, standard sized, for the top lashes and a smaller one for those tiny bottom lashes you want to bring out.

Ever Bilena eyeshadows are IMHO underrated. They’re smooth, pigmented, and the color selection is super flattering for Filipino skin. Try the EB Pro Eyeconic 6 Eyeshadow Set (P250) for two basic color palettes you can take from day to night! Pro tip: use a bit of the concealer on your lids to bring out the pretty shimmers and to get the eyeshadows to stay longer.

Finish off your look with any of the flattering iconic shades of the EB Matte Lipstick (P180) - remember Toast of New York? They still have it! Go for the EB Matte LTD Liquid Lipstick (P200) for bolder matte colors that stays on pretty well on the lips.

Last but not the least, set your makeup with the EB Pro Lock that Look Makeup Setting Spray (P250). This delivers a fine mist that keeps makeup in place for longer! I’m actually testing this one out and will you know if it can beat my HG, the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray.

What was the first Ever Bilena product you ever bought? Have any new favorites we should know about?
