Hello, PV Community! How are you doing? We hope you’re doing well and staying safe. You know it - it’s time for another beauty roundup! This week in beauty, we have the following to talk about - Disney princesses, fig and olive, corsets, and a new Filipino beauty brand!

A royal collection

This is a tough question - who is your favorite Disney princess? If your favorite lies among Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel, then you are in for a treat! BYS Philippines just launched a collection that celebrates the three aforementioned princesses. Featured in the collection are 11 skincare and makeup products - Longlasting Liquid Eyeliner (P699), Plumping Mascara (P699), 3-in-1 Eyebrow Pencil (P899), Sun Tint SPF 36 (P799), Flawless Primer (P799), Liquid Lipsticks (P549), Lip & Cheek Tint (P599), Serum Blushes (P799), and Clarifying, Smoothing, and Hydrating Face Masks (P99/sheet or P499/box of 5). By the way, have you seen the opulent campaign photos shot by BJ Pascual?

Heaven scent

Nippon just released bath and body essentials in a new scent - fig + olive! Warm and earthy, the new scent is highlighted in the brand’s Bar Soap (P135/135g and P119/90g) and Hand & Body Wash (P499/500ml). The soap is coconut-based and has niacinamide and hyaluronic acid; it does not melt easily, softens skin, and visibly lightens dark spots. On the other hand, the wash lathers easily with one pump, strips dirt, germs, and bacteria, and hydrates skin. Personally, I love this scent so much!

Cinching the face

Em Cosmetics recently dropped bronzing powders and they’re inspired by the elegance of shaping and sculpting natural curves with corsets - trust Michelle Phan with such an inspiration. The Corselette Sculpting Powder Bronzer ($36) comes in four shades - Slip, Silhouette, Sensual, and Sultry - and they’re infused with shea butter, peptides, rice powder, and sodium hyaluronate. It seems like bronzers are making a comeback, right?

Just arrived

There’s a new Filipino brand called Biogenins and it’s all about skincare that’s based on scientific research and development of local herbs and natural products. For their initial release, they focused on a face care line that features facial wash, toners, cleansers, serums, moisturizers, and clay masks! They got us covered!

Okay, that’s it for this week. See you next time!
