Go for the Gloss: 7 Lip Glosses To Try Under P500
Two of the hottest beauty trends right now are glassy skin and glossy lips. Yes, we’re all about the shine this summer! It keeps your pout luscious yet lightweight - a great match for the hot weather. And since we’ve already showed you how to get glass skin, today we’re sharing seven lip glosses to complete your look – all under P500!
Avon True Color Glazewear Lip Gloss (P199 on sale, P299 regular price at Avon)
This the most affordable on the list if you can wait to grab it while on sale! Liz reviewed this lip gloss way back but it has been rebranded along with Avon's other makeup products. The classic shades Mauve Movement, Rich Raspberry, and Fiery Red are still around and the lineup now includes Pink Watermelon and Tangerine Gleam.
Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in PK006 (P298 at Etude House)
While this is technically a lip tint, the shade PK006 looks more like a lip gloss. It adds more shine than color, and with just the loveliest hint of shimmer! This particular shade comes from the Etude House Holiday Collection which we got to check out here.
Catrice Volumizing Lip Booster (P379 at SM Beauty)
This product took me back to my college lip gloss-loving days! It has the mint, tint, and a subtle plumping effect. You can check out my lip and arm swatches plus first impressions here.
Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip (P390 at BeautyMNL)
The brand may have catapulted into fame with their ultra-matte liquid lipsticks but they have since expanded into a whole range of lip and makeup products, which include the trending glossy lip. This provides shine with a comfortable creme finish, and the bonus of plenty of shades to choose from.
BYS Glitter Lip Gloss (P399 at SM Beauty)
The sparkle of this gloss is very visible even while still in the tube. As the product name suggests, you'd end up with lips that has "a touch of sparkle and shine".
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss (P400 at department stores)
Launched late last year, the brand describes these as "whipped matte gloss". It's not as flat as your usual matte but not as shiny as your usual gloss either, which make for an interesting finish. There are 10 shades to choose from with matching lip liners.
Colourette Colourglaze Vivid Lip Gloss (P499 at Colourette Cosmetics)
Just barely making our budget limit, this local gloss promises to be "definitely not sticky"! It even contains niacinamide for plumping the lips, plus jojoba oil and vitamin E for nourishment. It's available in six shades.
What do you think about lip gloss formulas? Have you jumped on the glossy lip train, or are you sticking to matte and satin finishes?
