Shining, Glimmering, Splendid!

Hold the phone, ladies: things are about to get sparkly! Known for her incredible mattes and smooth powders, Kat Von D Beauty has teased yet another palette that we’re dying to get our hands on: The Shade + Light Glimmer Palette! With the same palette layout and shade range as its original matte counterpart, this shimmer palette is basically all your favorite neutral shades on shimmer steroids. With four finishes to choose from, some of the shadows actually look like they might have a foil finish. No word on the price yet but The Shade + Light Glimmer Palette is set to drop in July. You can watch the palette in action here.

Beauty Seoul Mates

If you couldn’t already tell by the title, Korean products are constantly making waves in the beauty world. Western brands are copying cushion technology, gel-like blush formula and sheet masks, and its increasing the clamor for K-beauty to be more accessible. So it’s not exactly a surprise that a makeup giant like MAC Cosmetics has teamed up with South Korean fashion design team Steve J and Yoni P for the cutest, quirkiest, and most “Korean-esque” collection for their summer release!

The Steve J & Yoni P x MAC collection will have everything from eyeshadows to blushes, brushes, palettes, and of course, lipstick. The brightly colored summer collection has something for everyone, and we’ve already got our eyes on the Steve J & Yoni P x MAC Studio Eye Gloss in Pearl Varnish ($22), the Stevie J & Yoni P x MAC Powder Blush in Peony Petal ($23), and the Stevie J & Yoni P x MAC Eye Shadow X2/Touch Me Baby in Soba and Keep on Twinkling ($22), I also find the Stevie J & Yoni P x MAC Lipstick in Yoni Crush ($17) to be the perfect bright red lipstick for me! The collection is set to drop on the MAC website and MAC stores from June 1 to July 13. Kamsahamnida, MAC!
