Avon welcomes new celebrity ambassadors Jodi Sta. Maria, Paulo Avelino, and Maine Mendoza

One hundred and thirty years in the beauty industry is no joke. To last that long, a company would have to have stellar leadership, sound business values, and of course, great products. This year, Avon is celebrating exactly that milestone starting with their Best of Beauty Series launched last week.

With two separate events, Avon launched three new celebrity ambassadors to join their already enviable portfolio of brand endorsers – Jodi Sta. Maria, Paulo Avelino, and Maine Mendoza.

First up was the Avon Fragrances launch at Cru Steakhouse in Marriott Hotel Manila where household names Jodi Sta. Maria and Paulo Avelino were introduced as the faces behind Cherish and Black Suede.

Cherish is a very light perfume highly attuned to the summer season and is the perfect match for Jodi's personality, presence, and style. It's a feminine scent that whispers of sexy elegance.

For the guys, there's Black Suede, a classic Avon Fragrance, which comes in five different variants - Black Suede, Black Leather, Black Suede Essential, Touch by Black Suede, and Black Suede Sport and is given a face through Paulo. His is a sophisticated approach and Black Suede offers it in five unique formulations to suit all types of personalities.

Jodi and Paulo both talked about their personal views on the fragrances as attendees sampled the new offerings. The tables had each been set with a Cherish and a Black Suede with petals all over completing the romantic ambiance that was the afternoon's theme. We even got to bring a special someone which was such a treat in time for Valentine’s Day. I personally like Cherish and can imagine myself wearing it daily! It is such a refreshing and affordable fragrance that is comparable to more expensive ones. My BF’s pick from Black Suede is the Black Suede Essential variant which Paulo described as “Strong, masculine, and alluring.”

The second event in the Best of Beauty Series launched a new variant of Avon’s best-selling Hand and Body Lotion - the Avon Skin So Soft Advance White with Stem Essence.

They also introduced Maine Mendoza, one half of the phenomenal love team #AlDub, as the celebrity ambassador for the variant. Maine is bubbly and funny in person, quite similar to her on-screen persona. She also exudes a lovely appeal that fits well with Avon Skin So Soft.

What’s new in the Skin So Soft variant that Maine endorses? The lotion comes with 8 Stem Cell Therapy Benefits, which is said to include anti-aging, cell renewal, and lightening.

I personally love the Avon Skin So Soft line so I look forward to using it. I am particularly happy with the “delays skin ageing” and “firming” benefits. Loving the scent too!

Maine’s Avon brochure comes out on March 1, and I’m sure it will be in great demand so watch out for it.

How about you? Do you have an Avon fragrance favorite? Have you tried Avon Skin So Soft? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
