Hello from the Project Vanity team! Thanks for dropping by.

Ellana Mineral Eyebrow/ Eyeshadow Quad

I think I'm over my strong eyebrow phase. I currently prefer softer arches that make my face look less "done", if you know what I mean! I've given up my pens, creams, and even pencils to do my brows, instead relying on powder products to sculpt them to my liking. They're also quicker to work with and require less care when it comes to application.

That said, my current favorite brow product is the Ellana Mineral Eyebrow/ Eyeshadow Quad (P350). This is technically pressed mineral eyeshadow, but the colors are intended to mix beautifully to create your perfect eyebrow match. Whether you're a brunette, blonde, or redhead, you can get brows close to your current hair color. Oh, and have a neutral everyday eyeshadow palette to boot!

Pigmentation and finish. The colors are pigmented when used as eyeshadow, but softer over eyebrows. Weird no? But it works! I use a large, bushy angled brush (from Ellana also) to apply this on my brows. Perhaps because the brush is synthetic, I'm not getting too much pigmentation from this palette. The finish is a creamy matte that looks totally natural.

Mineral madness: Beloved, Intense, Wish, Hush

Color notes. I mix the top two shades (Beloved, a matte light tan and Intense, a taupe brown) to get my perfect brow color, sometimes adding a bit of red (Wish) since I still have some red in my hair from my last dye job. Wish has some shimmer in it so I don't recommend using too much of it on the brows. That matte beige over there (Hush) is for highlighting the browbones or as a lid wash.

Wear time. Staying power is pretty good. It fades a little bit after five hours, but it doesn't completely go away. Note that I don't have super oily brow though! As with most eyeshadows, it's best to use a primer to make the minerals stick on the lids better. If I'm just stepping out for like three hours however, I don't bother with a primer anymore. The colors are pigmented enough as is!

Packaging. The packaging is a bit bulky since it comes in a cardboard box. However, it's a small square so it won't take up too much space in your kit.

Verdict. Overall, I love the Ellana Eyebrow/ Eyeshadow Quad and have been using it consistently for two weeks now. I like that it works equally good as an eyebrow color and eyeshadow palette, so I don't have to bring two different products to enhance my eyes. Great deal at P350! You can purchase it online here or in Ellana counters in The Ramp Glorietta, EDSA Shang, and Trinoma. There's also a showroom in La Fuerza Plaza, Makati.
