Lancome Holiday Collection 2012

The holidays have come and gone, but the glittery glamour that accompanies it doesn't have to leave as well. The beauty holiday collections are still on the shelves, so if you want to score some good deals or collector's pieces, you better hurry for one final look at the counters!

The Lancome Holiday Collection is another memorable ensemble for me. The inspiration is Hemingway's "A Movable Feast", where he wrote about his life in Paris. It was the 1920s, a decade remarkable for its smoky opulence and subversive elegance. The Lancome collection imagines Paris dressed in gold, with shiny crystal chandeliers flashing on sequined dresses, as if in a dance of light.

The Ombre Hypnose Mono eyeshadows (P1,395) look fantastic! They feature a mesh/ sequin imprint on the powder, while the top of the compact has coated golden glitter. The eyeshadow itself is of good quality - it's pigmented enough that you don't need a powder to make it work, and it goes on so smoothly! Watch out for the glitter fall out though; you need to tap your brush first to avoid it.

Three shades: Mesh, Fil D'Or, Sequins

Lancome also released a limited edition loose pigment called Ombre Hypnose Eye Sparkles. I'm not a fan of loose shimmer but I do like the fact that you can use them in sooooo many ways. Mix them with a gloss or liquid lip balm to get shiny lips, add them to your loose powder to create a glowy finish, blend with tinted moisturizer/ foundation to get an illuminated base - the possibilities are staggering for something as innocuous as loose shimmer. :)

I have the shade A La Belle Etoile (P995), which is a rosy gold shimmer that is easy to mix with other formulas and colors.

Other items in the Holiday collection:

L’Absolu Rouge (P1,495) in Opale Fatale, Rubis Infini, Agate Delicate

Crayon Khol Waterproof (P1,195) is a new smudgy, creamy-smooth eye pencil

Vernis In Love (P950), inspired by cocktails: Bubbly Gold, Ginger Swing, Flirty Red

You can also check out Lancome's full holiday catalogue here:

So there you go. :) You gotta give it to luxe brands, they really go all out during the holidays!

the packaging is beautiful like always... but I wouldn't shell out that much moolah for a tiny product. by the way, Sequins reminds me of Wet n Wild single eyeshadow in Nutty.

I'm sure it broke your heart a little to use that eyeshadow Ms. Liz. Mine would have! The holidays was a fun season of sparkles and reds! I especially like the lipsticks and polishes from this collection. :)

I was excited when I saw Ombre Hypnose Mono eyeshadows!!! The packaging are so cute!!! So elegantly feminine. :) nakakaexcite siyang tignan!! Pero parang ang laki ng compact just for one shadow though. :)

Lancome always knows how to do classy, and this collection evokes that. Wowza!

The loose shimmer is so getting me curious. I hope they have a bronze one of that. The Fil d'Or eyeshadow is a beauty! I love the whole glamourous vibe of it. And the lippies! To die for talaga!

whoa sparkles and shimmer overload. Love the intricate pattern on that eye shadow, If even I bought one, maybe I will not be able to use it. Don't wanna ruin a delicate pattern just like that. hehe

Glitter. Glitter everywhere! I love it. I like how the eyeshadow was designed. It looks fab.

Curious about the loose shimmer though. I like that shade. If I were to buy something from this collection, it would be that.

Thank you for this feature Liz. Without it, I wouldn't even know about the collection.

The eyeshadow looks so glamorous... so much that its so sayang to use and ruin the design. But I love the glittery effect. Really festive.

Lancome, as expected, really put hands-on effort for their holiday collection. They are fantabulous (fantastic and fabulous)!

I saw a video of Michelle Phan using lancome's holilday collection and I was given the chance to see how beautiful these products when worn, also thankful to you Ms. Liz for giving us the details about these products! These may not be bearable to some for its not-so-pocket-friendly price, but just by seeing this makes us want to save to have these babies sooooon! If our wallets will permits us to do so, of course :)

The colors are brilliant, alluring and festive. The packaging looks so extravagant and luscious. Drooling indeed! Ombre Hypnose Mono is my fave. Actually all of them! I would really do good in my studies so that when I graduate and get a job, I can buy all the things I want, just like you Ms. Liz :)
