MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Berry Crush
Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:25AM Oh, lipsticks. There are so many colors out there that even when I feel I've tried them all, something always turns up to surprise me! One example is the MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Berry Crush (P580 at Makeupholics). I requested for this shade because I just wanted another purple lippie, but when I finally saw it in person I got something better than I expected.
Berry Crush is a deep berry, almost purple shade that flashes blue frost. I like how it flatters my medium yellow skintone; the bold color is also impossible to miss. The blue frost sounds weird in your head I know but when worn it helps to brighten teeth and plump up the lips - trust me!

I won't get into the nitty gritty of the formula since I've already reviewed the Long Wear Satin Lip Cream. However I have noticed that the consistency and opacity of the two shades I have differ. Berry Crush is pigmented in one swipe, unlike my first MeMeMe lipstick called Coral Cloak. The deeper lipstick also doesn't bunch up in streaks where the creme finish of Coral Cloak would.
As much as I love this particular shade though, I'd be the first to say that it's not for everyone. I don't think I'm special okay? I just have a penchant for memorable lipsticks. ;P If you do too then you must try the MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Berry Crush. I have Snoe's "Bite me" dark plum pretty much black shade and I looove wearing it out! I can go all goth or 40's flapper look on it and its always a conversation piece!
The blue frost should also make your teeth look whiter! :D
I'm receiving alot of comments with my Avon lipstick in Jubilee Rose. The deep plum color sets me apart from the sea of pink and red lips.
This lipshade rocks! my current favorite lipstick is nyx snow white, I use it a lip stain on a normal day, and I use it on events and parties at night. It gives off that oomph even if you;re only wearing minimal make up.

This one suits you better! It compliments your skin tone and the color is definitely an attention getter. I wish I could go with any color like you do Ms. Liz.
The most daring lipstick I have is Wet n' Wild in Red Velvet. I know, it's not that daring, but I'm too scared to try flashy shades! I mostly stick to nudes and peaches. Maybe when I gain enough confidence! I'm getting there, with the help of your blog. Thanks Ms. Liz!

ha , I envy people who can pull off daring colors. I just stick with the pinks and light red.
This shade of lippie really looks good on you. I wish I could pull it off, but of you are living in a very conservative place like mine, you will have a hard time showing off this super hot color. So even if I wear makeup, I make sure that it's toned down.
I'm not really into bright and bold lips but I love love love dark lipsticks such as burgundy, plum, black, dark red. <3
I'm not as bold as you (yet) when it comes to lipsticks but you inspire me to experiment. One of these days, I might just try something unpredictable. I'm still in the process of perfecting different looks but once I master them, I'm going to be braver and put on something more fabulous. :-)
Wow, that looks definitely bold. I'm still in my MLBB and perfect red lippie hunt, though. Hey, a lipstick swatching party would be fun! You know, girls getting together to bring all their lippies and take turns trying out everything they fancy. :D That way, you get try out lots without buying everything first. Great color! I actually bought something in the same color: the Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy. Similar color to this lipstick you reviewed. Great pigmentation, not-so-great packaging, but it's worth it :D And cheap too!
I'd have to say my Revlon Fire & Ice lippie. Which reminds me I have to use this one more often.

Hmmm.... This reminds me of NYX Black Label Lipstick in Orchid. Not for everyday but this gives me ideas! I love Jen's (From Head to Toe) tutorial on princesses, especially Belle. She used a romantic pink lipstick and then glossed it with lilac sheen. I think this could achieve the same effect if used sparingly and blended with a warmer pink lipstick. On its own though, I don't have the guts to pull this off! Although I like when you say it makes your teeth whiter!:-)

To answer your question though, I think my most daring lipstick shades would be my dark lippies and the light pink ones. The dark ones because not everyone really wears them around here and the light pink ones because I'm not much of a pink fan, haha! But they're both pretty interesting to wear, especially when you receive the most adorable comments. :)
