MeMeMe Dew Pots

I didn't really care for cream eyeshadow before. Why bother when there are excellent powder eyeshadows in any color and finish you can think of? But Lisa Eldridge's tutorial wearing cream eyeshadows plus the Bobbi Brown Shore steered me in the right direction. I realized that this particular formula has something to offer to busy girls who want intense, enhancing, and long lasting color on the eyes with minimum effort.

I love wearing cream eyeshadows when I don't have the time or inclination to fuss on my look. It's easy to blend in primer then wear one color on the lids but it's even quicker to swipe on a cream color! Lazy much? It's a great way to enhance the eyes in just a few seconds! Anyway I recently found out about the MeMeMe Dew Pots (P300-ish at Makeupholics*), a cream eyeshadow that received decent reviews online.

Here's what I think. :)

What I love about the product

  • It has good color pay-off. One swipe is enough to shade the eyes, but since I want a super opaque finish I swipe twice. I just use my fingers!
  • It's thin, non-sticky texture makes it easy to spread and blend with minimal effort. It doesn't skip or create streaks on the lids.
  • It comes in a glass jar with a cap that seals tightly.
  • Affordable!

MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Berry Crush

Oh, lipsticks. There are so many colors out there that even when I feel I've tried them all, something always turns up to surprise me! One example is the MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Berry Crush (P580 at Makeupholics). I requested for this shade because I just wanted another purple lippie, but when I finally saw it in person I got something better than I expected.

Berry Crush is a deep berry, almost purple shade that flashes blue frost. I like how it flatters my medium yellow skintone; the bold color is also impossible to miss. The blue frost sounds weird in your head I know but when worn it helps to brighten teeth and plump up the lips - trust me!

MeMeMe Arch Angel

Are you too lazy to carefully apply and blend makeup on your eyebrows, yet still want that seamless, perfect finish? Then I might have a solution for you. The MeMeMe Arch Angel (P650 at Makeupholics) is a nice product for days when you want quick, fuss-free brows. It has a creamy brown shade for coloring and a shimmery white for enhancing the arch of your eyebrows.

Here's a quick rundown!

What I love about the product

  • The brush is basic but it's the perfect size for eyebrows. Not too tiny as to warrant a lot of time to cover ground, but not too big that it would create a too-thick line. It also picks up the right amount of product so I don't make a mess.
  • The product dries quickly and doesn't smudge throughout the day. It also keeps stray hairs in place without making them crunchy and hard.

MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Coral Cloak

I'm kinda pissed off that two of my favorite, and I mean favorite, coral lipsticks have been missing for a while now. They're the Revlon Coral Berry and Makeup For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N39, ugh! I do have other coral lipsticks but I think these two are the best-looking of them all.

But one has to move on, I suppose. So, here's one of my new orange/coral lippies: the MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in Coral Cloak (P560 at Makeupholics).

MeMeMe is a drugstore UK brand that has been making waves locally. The products are colorful and highly pigmented, up there with Sleek, Beauty UK, and Models Own - only kitschier with a baroque sensibility. I am not a huge fan of the packaging per se, but the product itself is quite nice for the price. Remember the MeMeMe Goddess Rocks? That one's a great catch.

Coral Cloak is a beautiful creamy orange lippie that stands out without being too loud. The texture is quite silky and smooth, not too thick as to be uncomfortable.

MeMeMe Goddess Rocks

When I posted this foundation review yesterday a few girls asked me what highlighting powder I used to achieve that glow. One of them even asked if I was using Guerlain! Well, the Guerlain Meteorites powder is invisible and almost devoid of any shimmer. No, I'm using something more glowy with a hint of bronze: the MeMeMe Goddess Rocks (P825 from Makeupholics)!

I love this stuff. It's a shimmery highlighter with subtle bronze and rose tints. I wouldn't call it an all-out bronzer because using too much will make you look quite shiny; a little goes a long way but don't expect any obvious color.

Sponge topper to keep the rocks in place. The packaging is just cardboard so I wouldn't recommend it for traveling. Just keep a couple of the rocks in a clear jar if you want to apply it on the go!
