VMV Hypollergenics Red Better Flare-up Balm
Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 6:59AM The VMV Hypollergenics Red Better Flare-up Balm (P1,890) is a skin-saver. Whenever I get itchy from allergies or any random irritation, I just apply this and voila! Itchiness gone. I also sometimes get rashes on my neck and hands and this works wonders to calm them down and eventually heal them.
That sounds too good to be true I know, but I've been using this for months now and it has never failed me so far. Promise!

From what I understand, the Flare-up Balm is full of anti-inflammatory and microbe-busting ingredients. It's made for rosacea sufferers, but according to the website, it's also "ideal for irritations, inflammations, redness, bites, itching, rashes + microbial infections from allergic/irritant reactions; seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, atopic/contact dermatitis + some other medically-managed conditions."

Sorry haven't taken decent product photos. I used my tube immediately!
I just realized that this is quite expensive at P1,890, but if you suffer from regular skin flare-ups, I would highly recommend this based on my personal experience. Besides, you only need a small dot per use - it's a very rich, thick balm so a little goes quite the distance. One tube has 25 grams!
So there you go. You can order this at any VMV Hypoallergenics store, or from their newly-opened online store, VMVhypoallergenics.ph. :)

Thankfully, I don't get redness on my face because of allergies or rashes. But for itchy insect bites on the body, I use Triderm (from pharmacies) and for rashes I just apply Petroleum jelly hehe Nice to know there's this alternative :) I am planning to get their Red Better spot corrector, though, for those occasional pimples when it's the time of the month!
Aw, I have very sensitive skin Ms.Liz sobrang prone ko sa mosquito bites and itching. Kaya lang the price is too stiff for me!
I would suggest though that for pimples, to use antimicrobials targeting Propionibacterium acnes since this is the causative agent of pimples aka acne. Topical creams or ointments with salycylic acid erythromycin or clindamycin may be of greater help than this for pimples in the face. For body acne, the organism is different (Staph aureus) so it would require a different type of cream. Hope this helps. <3
Hmm, speaking of flare ups on the face, I often get it after washing or when the temperature is too cold or too hot. This is definitely a "splurge" product for me for a 25ml tube hehe but good thing it's worth the price. I'd love to look for much affordable alternatives too though!
Oooh very nice! Can you post the ingredients? Until now, I just put caladryl on whatever itch I'm getting. This might be just what I need.
I recommended this to a friend who has problem with red spots on the face :)
