Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask

I was checking out Beauty Bar in MOA last Sunday when I saw a new brand called Formula 10.0.6. Well, it's not actually new new since it apparently has been around since 1933, but I think it's newly arrived here! According to the website, the brand excels at perfecting troublesome young skin with ingredients that work. "Troublesome young skin", that's me alright.

I bought a sample sachet of the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask (P120) knowing absolutely nothing about the brand. :P I liked how they packaged their products, so even though the price is quite reasonable, I got the feeling that the stuff is hip and expensive. It's just my luck that I bought what seems to be the most popular product of Formula 10.0.6, with a 4.2/5 rating at Makeupalley.

Ok ok I'm dithering. Deep Down Detox is a great mask! I got it because I am waaay overdue for a facial and I needed something quick to clean up my face. Well, this mud/clay mask didn't clean my pores as well as I hoped, but it helped with the oiliness extremely well. It's been three days since I used it and my face is noticeably less oily!

It also helped my pimples dry up faster, for some reason. Must be the alcohol in the ingredients? I had this horrid pimple on the arch of my nose, and the next day I was able to peel dry skin off it.

Now, what to expect with this mask. It has a gentle citrus scent, quite soothing and calming. It does sting the first couple of minutes, especially in red areas where there are pimples and irritation. Not around the eyes, thankfully, but keep it away from there just in case. It hardens but it's easy to wash off with some gentle massaging.

After washing it off, my skin felt really tight but also looked super matte.

I do believe it's the kaolin clay and bentotite that helped with the oil control. My face also feels clean - the product build-up is gone and everything's smooth. The blackheads are still there but I guess I really have to get a proper facial for those. -_-

Overall, the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask is my best impulse buy in a while. I'm definitely getting the full tube, which is only around P600 - very reasonable! I suggest you try it as well, especially if you have oily skin or if you just want a super clean face without having to scrub for it. If you scrimp, you can get two uses out of the trial/travel sachet.

Here are other things from Formula 10.0.6 that I was interested in trying, until I saw the lukewarm reviews that is. Haha. I do think the tinted moisturizer is worth a shot though...if only they had testers for it I would know!

And that's it. :) Tried anything from Formula 10.0.6? How was it, worth recommending or just meh?
