8 good reasons to give up your long locks at 8List
Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 5:26PM When I wrote this article two months ago, I had no idea that I would cut my hair this short. Still, I did it for most of the reasons I've stated below. Do you need that final push to decide to let your long hair go? Perhaps I can convince you!
Here are 8 good reasons to give up your long locks. Wrote this for 8List, a website that's all about useful lists! Check it out after you finish my article hehe.
Hope you're having a great week so far! ;) And hey, let me know if you're thinking of cutting your hair. Perhaps I can recommend some salons in my next post.

After reading all reasons to chop off my hair, it all weighed down to #1. Able to donate something for cancer patients is really "nakakataba ng puso" kinda thing. Been thinking to cut my hair short for quite some time na rin, but I'm thinkng that i'll be using different hair products and all that. I have fine wavy hair, it gets all over the place if i cut it a little shorter above shoulder level. It gets puffy and all..:(
Ay nge I'm getting errors on the site.
Liz, I just saw your new haircut! Ang ganda teh! Love it!

Ms. Liz, is the link broken or is it just in my computer? I wish I could read this, I certainly need convincing to chop my hair. I have curly brown-blonde ombre hair that is almost up to by, uhm, butt. I am definitely going to cut it and dye it to chocolate brown, but I'm deciding between a trim or cutting it to just below the shoulders + bangs a la Zoeey Deschanel. I've been back and forth. I'm scared of taking the risk of cutting my hair, since it's curly and trimming it will probably curl it more. What do you do to tame your curls? Also, I have recently gained a lot of weight, and I'm afraid that chopping my hair will make me look fatter (give more attention to my arms, etc.) What do you think?
Off-topic (-ish), since I have curly hair, I will have curly bangs. If I do decide to go on with the bangs, should I have it relaxed or just blowdry it everyday? Thanks, Ms. Liz. I hope to hear from you.
My mom has been bugging me to cut my long locks. She said it's not exactly healthy to keep them long, and I will need to trim them eventually. But I have more problems with short hair--- I look like a siopao with it, and it turns buhaghag. My hair is pretty thick, and it becomes less manageable when they're shorter. Also, I look better with longer hair. Not even mid-long locks look good on me. It has to be really long.
After reading your article, I'm rethinking about cutting my hair short. It really seems more beneficial for me to manage my hair this way. But maybe I'll take one step at a time. I might get some 3-inch (at most!) trimming sooner or later, and make it layered. I've noticed that, apparently, over the past several years of experimenting with the style of my hair, I look best when I have my hair layered. Oh well. I can only sigh to this standard look.
Thank you for the great advice Ms. Liz! :D But it's oh so hard letting go of my long hair! :'(
I had my hair chopped down from waist length it is now on the level of my chin. I almost got pneumonia because like on the 8th tip you gave our back is not well ventilated with long hair. Now aside from being "presko" with my new do, I also enjoy the fact that it has been healthier (goodbye split ends for me since they all got chopped as well hehe). I also save up alooot on shampoo and conditioner. I tried using a sachet just to see how much I save up. With long hair i consume 1 whole sachet of conditioner and I sometimes open up another one, but with my short hair now, I get to divide it in 3 washes. I get complimented with my new do, people tell me that I look younger now :)) great great article liz!
I had cut my hair short before. I loved the length and people would always compliment me. I would love to have it cut short again. But I wanted to have it permed. Maybe when I get tired of my curls...=)
I chopped off several times already since I'm never scared of having short hair. I like short since, it's easier to manage and needs less products. However, I'm growing my hair now since my friends literally begged me to stop cutting it...LOL they all prefer to see me with long hair. oh well. ^_^
