Beauty Bar now in Bonifacio High Street
Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 8:18AM I fell in love with Beauty Bar in college. There was a big shiny branch in Robinson's Ermita, right in front of my university. I swear I would spend hours every week just looking at their stuff! Yeah it was a little embarrassing, seeing as I rarely bought anything, but I couldn't stay away. It was my special place at a time when I was just discovering the colorful world of beauty.

When I talk about myself from all those years ago (well, barely three years ago) it's like I'm talking about an entirely different person. Today these opportunities are open to me and sometimes, it's hard to believe that's it's all because I blogged. I feel giddy that one of my favorite stores invited me to visit their new branch. I feel good that if I want anything from the store, I can buy it without batting an eyelash.

I'm not bragging ha, I'm just looking back with a twinge of pride that I've come this far. :) Anyway! You can now find Beauty Bar in Bonifacio High Street, on top of Muji. The place is breathtaking - it's well-lit, spacious, and luxurious-looking. There's even a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in one corner, which spills out to an al fresco area that looks over to Serendra. Do I sniff a new hangout place?

I love that it's quiet and not (yet and hopefully never) run over by squealing kids and loudmouthed adults. Okay that's a little mean, I'm sorry, but don't you just hate it when people practically shout in coffee shops? How hard can it be to keep your voice down in a coffee shop? Yes, it's a pet peeve of mine. I hope no one discovers the CBTL in Beauty Bar, ha ha. (...oops)

Another fab feature of the store is Dashing Diva. The international nail franchise offers luxe manis and pedis, as well as an exclusive selection of nail colors that you can purchase separately. I had the Spoiled Diva Pedicure while I was there. It involved exfoliation via scrubs and dermabrasion (they have this neat Clarisonic-like tool to smoothen your feet and legs), and of course a pedicure with my color of choice. That was 40 minutes of bliss!

Say hello to Martha's feet!
After my pedicure, I roamed around the store to check out the new releases at Beauty Bar. What caught my eye: Fairydrops, the latest Japanese brand to hit our shores, Alicia Silverstone for Juice Beauty, and Dual Sided Brushes by Japonesque.

I bought the Dual Sided Brush in 130. Will review soon!

Beauty Bar gave me these five products to review. Using the cleanser and it's really nice.

Daintiest powder compact ever. It feels just like paper.

Palladio counter

Artdeco! You should definitely check this out if you haven't yet.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed my mini tour. I highly recommend that you visit Beauty Bar in Bonifacio High Street (on top of Gap and Muji) for the wonderful products or even just to hang out. ;) Swell place! Let's bump into each other!

Isang malaking success story talaga ang buhay mo ate! :D Why don't you write an autobiography? :) I'm so happy for you, and for what you've come to achieve now.
You are an inspiration to us. Sobrang relate ako sa buhay mo ate, especially now, nag-iipon na ako ng money to buy my own make-up! haha. Kahit na hindi pa mamahalin make-up ko, ok lang! I know one day, just like you, with hard work and perseverance, I'll be able to make my visions come true.
A beauty paradise, nail salon and a coffee shop all in one place? WOW! Really cool! :))
I too did the same thing back in my school days. I would usually get that "is she lost?" kinda look from the sales girl.. Hehehe now i know what and where to get all the good stuff, thanks to your blog!
Clothing (Gap), Organization (Muji), Beauty, and Coffee all in one building. With Fully Booked right across pa! Ohmygoodness, gotta pay High Street a visit soon! Haha
Also, just wanna say that I love Andrea lashes. They're reasonably priced and are of good quality. :) They don't get featured often enough!
I share your sentiments on noisy coffeeshops. I like going to CBTL to do some work on weekends. I appreciate that some branches are really quiet - only serious students or adults there. That kind of ambience is perfect! Although sometimes, some people choose to gab (like really GAB) in a coffeeshop and their voices fill the entire room. Ugh. Well I guess that's what headphones are for. :)
Have you ever tried reviewing Palladio's wet & dry foundation? I used it around 2 years ago. It was a great find at Php 700 but unfortunately their shade options are quite limited. :(
Finally, it has opened! I've been visiting Muji countless of times before because I was mislead by the "Beauty Bar" sign protruding from its window. Alas, it's finally here!
And there's a Coffee Bean?? NO WAY! This is like a dream come true and I'm going crazy here! Too bad I live a bit too far from Global City. Oh, if only I live any closer... I could be studying with my coffee and browse over Beauty Bar's products when taking a break. The thought makes me want to explode! This is definitely my haven! Coffee and makeup in one place!
And yeah, we share the same pet peeves. But loudmouthed adults would top my list. Although I really dislike bratty kids, I can't blame them for their behavior. Adults should be responsible of them. They should be able to handle their kids (and their loud mouths). I don't like teenagers or younger adults who shout like they own the place either. They kind of dig into my nerves. Hay, I hope they are sensible enough to stay away from this place and release their inner banshees somewhere more appropriate...
Thanks for this update! Oh, and have you heard about the Purebeauty store at Serendra? I don't know if it's still open, but it's another candyshop for us ladies! I read it sells Nyx products among some others. :D I haven't been there yet, but will definitely look for it the next time I visit Serendra!
i see lashes haven =) now i see ARTDECO store! =)
Its a happy place for me too :) Purebeauty is still open. They had a sale last August.
Is it bigger than other branches? When my friend and I hang out, Beauty Bar would be one of our stops just to see all the pretty and make-up and tools. And we would promise ourselves when we have enough money we'll go back and just go nuts. Ahahaha.
Hi, i just wanna ask if you even ask permission when you take pictures? My sister is also a blogger, we bought some lip pencils and as she was about to take pictures the sales assistant didnt allow her... The branch is located in MOA
