Human Heart Nature Lip Balm in Peppermint

Ahh, lip balms. I have already lost count of all the lip balms I have lying around the house. However, the Human Heart Nature Lip Balm in Peppermint (P60) is special to me because it's the first all-natural, organic lip balm I've tried. It's the most affordable too!

It's a nice lip balm. It won't knock your socks off but its best feature really is the fact that it's natural, with no petroleum or other chemicals in the ingredient list. If your lips are sensitive and have a tendency to darken easily, this organic alternative may help you in the long run.

Texture and feel. The HHN Lip Balm has a hard, waxy texture that will really pull at your lips if you insist on swiping it. What I do is I just pat it on my lips to get the balm on! It feels quite thick so I try to wear as thin a layer as possible.

Moisturizing properties. The oils in this balm help moisturize my lips. I noticed that I don't chap as much when I use this; must be the cacao seed butter and sunflower oil!

Packaging. This lip balm is contained in a standard-issue tube covered with matte plastic labelling. It's spartan; it's the reason this balm is only P60.

Verdict. I like it. It's something I keep in my desk so I can reach for it whenever my puckers feel dry. However, if you want more emollient balms, the Human Heart Nature Lip Balm in Peppermint may not be for you. There are other affordable alternatives - but then again, they're not organic, so it really depends on your needs and preferences!

Other variants available: Tutti Frutti, Choco Fudge

What's your current lip balm?

My must-have lip balm is Godiva! It's the one with lico-white technology (or whatever it's called) that prevents your lips from darkening. It also has a yummy orange scent! It's priced at approximately 99php and lasts a long time. You can get it in stick or pot form. :)

p.s. It's the same balm from the "for lips and nips!" commercial. "Nips" being nipples, of course. Haha!

I'm currently using Lip Ice and Carmex, I like them both because of that minty feel. They're also great in alleviating the chaps in my lips. But I also have HHN lip balm. I have it in Tutti Fruti and I so love the scent, too. I like smothering it on my lips when I'm at home, especially during weekends. Since it's all natural, I don't get worried if I unconsciously bite my lips (which I often do when I don't have a lipstick on). HHN is a great lip balm that won't drill a hole on your pocket.

I love lip balms! I currently rotate between burt's bees and chapstick, depending on the bag I pick up (I scatter them around bags so I never go without). I think I just might try this one!

I never go out the house without my lip balm. I'm using Maybelline - Lip Smooth Color and Care in Strawberry.. I love the strawberry flavor and how it does its MAGIC on my lips. When I started using it I didn't experience dryness and chapping lips anymore.. I love my smooth lips and thanks to Maybelline..... Oh its cheap pala at P89.00 a tube....

I currently use LipIce in Grape, it's my favorite! :) I have TBS Born Lippy in Strawberry lying around my kit too, but I don't use it as much now since it has no SPF.

hello ms. liz! may i ask if the peppermint flavor have a spicy kind of feeling on the lips? i have tried one from avon before, (i forgot the flavor), and i really don't like the somewhat spicy-itchy feeling it gave me, i was planning to buy the lip balm from human nature a week ago when i went to beauty bar, but i can't decide between tutti frutti and peppermint, i did not want to buy both because i may regret it. i love sweet scents like tutti fruttis, i am currently using a peach scent kissful lip care from etude house and it is really easy to swipe and prevents lip chapping. yet i also love peppermints for my candies but i think, of course, it differs when it comes to something you put in your lips.

I use Aquafina. :) Just got 2 packs of 4 balms from friends who came from the US lately. :) On pale days, I use the peach Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom. The pink one is just "too pink" for me.

Hi girls! Thanks for sharing your favorites!

@Jessie this HHN lip balm has a tingly feel, but it's milder compared to others I've tried. ;)

@Cecille I've been using lip ice for months and i haven't noticed any darkening! then again, my lips don't darken much.
