Guerlain Meteorites Perles in Teint Dore 03

Good skin is easy. Yes, it is. All you need is lots of sleep, lots of water, and a skincare routine you can bet your life on. Beautiful skin, on the other hand, takes a little more effort. It's skin that glows from within, skin that looks smooth and flawless as if it was just born yesterday. That's where makeup comes in.

If there is one product I would recommend to enhance the skin you already have, it will be the Guerlain Meteorites Perles. I've been hearing about this legendary powder ever since I was a wee makeup newbie - they say it's so good, you'll forget the price tag when you see it on your face. It's true!

Precious pearls

The Guerlain Meteorites powder in Teint Dore, upon swatching, doesn't look like it could do much. It's quite translucent so it's difficult to see the effect. But don't be fooled, it's actually "pigmented" in its own way. It delivers a beautiful glow to your skin without any visible shimmer or glitter. It looks perfect on top of foundation and blush, sealing the makeup with a flourish.

You may be wondering why the balls come in colors like lavender and green, aside from the usual bronze and white. It's because Teint Dore is also designed to correct redness and purple areas in your skin. Actually, you can separate the balls in different containers to get a different effect when you use them. As for me though, I'm happy with the combined colors.

Too much and it can look thick, however. I know, not something you'd expect from a translucent powder, but it's okay since it simply means that you don't have to use a lot of product. I like using a fluffy powder brush or stippling brush to apply the fine powder.

As with all Guerlain products, this is lightly scented - floral is my nose is right. Of course, it's also gorgeously packaged in a tin can with a light pink flower design on the cap. It comes with a thick powder puff (that I don't use) to keep all the pearls compact while in storage.

Bottomline is, the Guerlain Meteorites is a great product that I would definitely buy when I run out. It's P3,000 in Rustan's, but considering the fact that it contains 30g of product, it's actually a good deal already. Most mid-range powders (like MAC, Clinique, and Shiseido) only have 10 to 12g and cost P1,500 to P1,800. So yeah, do the math! The Meteorites will last for a seriously long time since you only use so little while getting a lot.

I use this finishing powder every time I go out. LOVE!
