Blog Me Up Buttercup blogger event

Yesterday, The Body Shop invited beauty bloggers to their Megamall branch to have fun with their famous Body Butters. I particularly enjoyed the part where we were asked to make our own Body Butter scent out of the existing variants!

TBS Body Butters fall under three types: Nutty (Shea and Olive), Fruity (Wild Cherry, Strawberry, Satsuma, and Grapefruit) and Floral (Moringa, smells like jasmine). The bloggers were divided into four groups of three people, and I got grouped with Tanya and the fab Frances. Here's what we came up with:

Scent 1: Olive + Wild Cherry

Scent 2: Grapefruit + Moringa + Shea

Scent 3: Olive + Shea + Moringa

We created subtle scents with summer in mind, so they aren't too overwhelming. The heat can really make heavy scents too cloying and musky so it's better if you stick to something softer. Our favorite creation is Scent #1, because it smells exactly like milkshake! The Olive provided a creamy smell while the Wild Cherry added that sweetness - just like a smoothie.

Alas, we did not win. Congrats to the "Watermelon Team" since they managed to make a Watermelon scented Body Butter! Neat no?

The Body Shop also took the opportunity to introduce a couple of new products:

Raspberry Ripple Bath & Shower Gel / Watermelon Body Lotion

Both smell incredibly divine. Anyway, I took home two Body Butters - Moringa and Grapefruit - and I will review them soon!

What's your favorite TBS Body Butter?
