The Weekly Haul: Morphe Brushes, L'Oreal, Banila Co., and Origins

It's a wonderful time to be a beauty enthusiast in this day and age. You can wear as little or as much makeup as you want, and there's always someone in the wild waters of the web who will love the look. There are so many new things to play with, talk about, and obsess over that it can sometimes be overwhelming. But it's exciting, right? Whether beauty is a hobby or a profession for you, it's a fun (albeit expensive) adventure that often leaves someone a little prettier every day.

So! It's Friday, and you knew this was coming. Here are some of the new products that you should keep an eye out for on the site!

Morphe is well-raved about online, often being compared to more established brands like Sigma and Zoeva. The price is in a similar range so the comparisons are understandable. The quality though, oh my! These are ridic soft and well-shaped. I didn't know where to get these before but I spotted them in BeautyMNL while I was browsing. You're welcome. They even have the neutral Koffee eyeshadow palette on hand.

Cushion makeup is not limited to just foundation. There are lip, cheek, and eye cushions too! I got my hands of Banila Co.'s Gel Eyeliner and 3D Brow also from BeautyMNL. They're pretty good - you'll see me use them in a video tomorrow. *wink* I also got hold of a new cushion foundation from a brand called Avant-Scene. It's my first time to hear about this Korean-manufactured, French-branded cosmetics line. Aside from BeautyMNL, they are also inside Alabang Town Center and UP Town Hall. Here's their Facebook page.

I love pink (obviously). I was psyched to hear that L'Oreal finally had these La Vie En Rose Velvet Pink Lipsticks locally! It features seven celebrity-chosen pinks for all sorts of skin tones. I tried these yesterday and they are matte with some sheen (what they call a velvet finish). Lovely collection. Will swatch it soon!

I can't wait to make a full review of these new Origins drops! The Maskimizer is a spray-on primer that allows us to maximize our masks. It preps the skin in a way that will help the mask be better absorbed. Cool right? The By All Greens Deep Cleansing Mask starts out as this creamy greenish gloop when you pump it out...then it foams all by itself. Seriously. It leaves my skin so bright after just ten minutes.

Finally, Avon sent over their Body Illusions shapers. These are quite good because they streamline my body without being unbearably tight. I mean, I don't believe in magical solutions to my muffin top, but I would take a quick one please if there's a slinky outfit I really want to wear. I'm loving the panties and the high shorts!

And yes, if you're still shopping for gifts to give to your mom, I'm sure she'll appreciate these soft and comfy shapers.

And that is that. ^_^ How's your weekend looking so far? Any Mother's Day plans with the fam?
