Uniqlo's New Loungewear Is Comfortable Enough for Home and Polished Enough for the Airport
As a beauty writer and content creator, I have always gravitated towards reviewing makeup and skincare. But! Fashion is also a huge part of my interests, and it's just as important when it comes to developing style and maintaining our well-being. I tend to go for a balance between looking good and being comfortable in the clothes I wear, which is why Uniqlo is one of my go-to brands. It usually fits my stylistic needs, so I was thrilled to attend the exclusive preview of the Uniqlo 2026 Fall/Winter Lounge & Underwear Collection recently..
Matching Underwear Sets, part of the Effortless Charm capsule collection
The collection is meant to introduce a fresh perspective on the Lounge & Underwear category, built around the concept of daily soft essentials that are "thoughtfully designed with you in mind." The range covers bras, underwear, bottoms, tank tops, sweaters and cardigans, and pajamas, all of which are further divided into two lines. There's the Effortless Charm collection with its "charming silhouettes in playful tones," and the Minimalist Classic collection with its "clean shapes in neutral tones," so there's something here whether you lean sweet or streamlined.

I got to try pieces from both capsules (and even spotted Liz trying them out too!) and yes, they are very comfortable. The Effortless Charm pieces are adorable with the small prints and patterns paired with lace detailing. The Sleeveless Tops are versatile and the Ribbed V Neck Cardigans can go in and out of the house quite easily depending on what you pair them with.

The Minimalist Classic pieces, whether in silhouette or coloring, are envisioned as essential items that you can mix and match. I can see myself wearing the Washable Knit Bra Top to the airport, paired with Uniqlo's Satin Pajama Bottoms, and not looking like I just rolled out of bed. That's really the appeal of this line: pieces that read as loungewear at home but pass as an outfit the moment you step outside.

While the collection is primarily marketed as loungewear, the tops and bottoms especially offer plenty of flexibility for self-styling. The soft fabrics, particularly the ones using modal cotton, are quite suitable for our hot and humid weather. Modal is a semi-synthetic fiber made from beech wood pulp, and it's known for being lightweight and breathable, which is exactly what you want when the afternoon heat sets in.
Uniqlo Lounge & Underwear Collection Fall 2026
This refresh of the Lounge & Underwear line maintains the quality I've come to expect from a Uniqlo collection. All pieces are now available on the Uniqlo website and the Uniqlo app, which is currently undergoing maintenance at the time of writing. But if you want to try these out yourself before purchasing, check out the store locator to find your nearest Uniqlo branch. Fit is personal, especially with bras and bottoms, so it's worth seeing the pieces in person if you can.
