Kiehl’s Better Screen UV Serum SPF 50 PA++++ Review: A Sunscreen That Protects and Corrects

There are already quite a few sunscreens in the Kiehl's lineup, yet they recently added another one—one that not only protects but also corrects. It's also branded as an anti-aging sunscreen, so I'm particularly interested in how my aging skin will react to it.

The Kiehl's Better Screen UV Serum SPF 50 PA++++ Facial Sunscreen (P3,000) provides high protection against UVA and UVB rays through what the brand calls a "micro-mesh filter." What makes it unique is the added Corrective Complex with Collagen Peptide Fragments, which is designed to help skin recover from the appearance of past UV damage and other signs of aging. It is said to visibly correct rough texture, uneven skin tone, and dullness, while also being non-acnegenic, meaning it is specifically formulated not to cause acne. Do note, however, that the formula contains alcohol and silicone, which may be something to watch out for if you have sensitive skin.

Texture-wise, the Better Screen UV Serum is lightweight, with a thin, serum-like consistency and little to no white cast. I like how easily it absorbs into the skin, and somehow it leaves my complexion looking plump and glowing. In fact, I sometimes skip a base layer altogether when I’m just heading out for quick errands.

My husband, a longtime Kiehl’s fan, has also been using this sunscreen. I know he likes it because I no longer have to remind him to apply it. The brand also claims that it layers well under makeup, which I found to be true. It works much like a radiant primer, helping my base go on more smoothly while maintaining a natural-looking glow.

Overall, the Kiehl’s Better Screen UV Serum is another good sunscreen option from Kiehl's. I would definitely treat myself (and my husband) with this one from time to time or watch out for sales and stock up.
