New from In Her Element Skincare: Get a dewy glow with the Rosewater Moisture Mist

Photography and product design by Samantha Gonzales

One of the best parts of my job is being able to create new beauty products from nothing more than a bunch of ideas. Writing about them is one thing but making something new is a whole different ball game! It’s easy to say that a product must be this and this to be perfect. However, there are so many other things to consider like cost of goods, the minimum order, how talented the chemist and how capable the manufacturer is, availability of ingredients, and packaging. Gosh, packaging. You have to think about aesthetics versus functionality and even how the product reacts to the container over time.

Another challenge I face as the lead product developer for In Her Element is reconciling my own expectations of skincare with what our customers want. Developing a rose mist was difficult for me because I don’t really use skincare mists; I’ve always found them to be incompatible with my makeup. As someone who wears quite a bit of it (it’s fun!), many of the mists I’ve tried makes my face fade faster. So, I thought I’d come up with a mist that makes skin brighter and more moisturized while wearing well under and on top of makeup!

Enter the In Her Element Rosewater Moisture Mist (P945 for 125ml at Inherelement.ph). This mist contains Rose Flower Water which is considered and anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial ingredient to keep your skin balanced. It also features Niacinamide to help brighten skin and fade spots over time, plus Chicory Root for a smoothing effect. This is perfect under makeup to seal in your skincare and after makeup to remove the powdery look and give a dewy glow. Of course, you can also use it any time to refresh your skin during the day!

Even if you don’t wear any makeup, the Rosewater Moisture Mist also performs well as a boosting toner. Use it after facial wash and before the In Her Element Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer, or any of your favorite moisturizers.

Oh, and the scent! Imagine a bouquet of fresh roses. That’s how this mist smells out of the bottle.

This comes in a glass bottle with 125ml of product inside. It is not the most travel-friendly container, however, it’s easy to decant and the bottle is meant to sit prettily on your vanity or office desk. The atomizer delivers a strong yet fine mist - just hold it at arm’s length and spray the face to get even coverage.

Currently, the In Her Element Rosewater Moisture Mist is available only at Inherelement.ph, but it will roll out soon in our Beauty Bar branches in Manila and Cebu! It will also soon be available on BeautyMNL.com as well as Lazada and Shopee. Check it out, and I’d love to know what you think!
