IMINXX Opens Its First Physical Store in the Philippines (and I Got Fitted)

Exploring I'M IN and talking to IMINXX PH co-founders Candy Gamos and Jean de Rama gave me a clearer picture of what the brand is about. They believe intimate wear should be made for the Asian woman's body from the start, not adapted to it with Western sizing as the standard. So I'M IN designs and produces to its own specifications, developed by brand founders Elfaine and Kingsley Tan in Singapore. Nothing is taken off the shelf and resized. It's been a year postpartum and my body has definitely changed. My chest is bigger and I'm softer in a lot of ways, so a bra upgrade was on the cards. I have never found a strapless bra that worked for me, even pre-baby. I've always relied on full support, or nipple covers when the need arose. But the I’M IN strapless bras had me curious. I put the air-ee Seamless Anti-slip Strapless Bra to the test and am happy to say I have found a strapless bra that does not slip. I wore it multiple times and put it through multiple washes, and the non-slip band and fit have held true. Getting fitted is the right way to go because you end up with a bra that stays put without feeling like it's squeezing the air out of you at the seams.

I am large chested and got the XXL, which holds true at the band and gives me medium support, lift, and coverage in tops and dresses that would show a conventional bra. One caveat: while the band did not budge, the cups do not defy gravity. On me they bend along the central gore as my chest weighs the cups down. This would likely not be a problem in the other sizes, since the full coverage cups do offer strong support and lift.

I still count this as a win because I now have a strapless bra in my arsenal that I don’t have to constantly adjust as I go about my day. If you have given up on strapless bras the way I had, I would fully recommend giving IMINXX strapless bras another go because they just might surprise you.
