Review: GRWM Cosmetics Cushion Tint and Matte Fixing Spray
It’s hot. We’re looking at some record-breaking temperatures this summer and when we’re not hiding from the sun and seeking air conditioning, we want our makeup to make us feel good, be lightweight, and most of all last a long summer day. So, when GRWM Cosmetics announced a summer collection, I was hoping for products that would check all the boxes.
All Day Allies
The summer collection has the newest #AllDayAllies you’ll need to help you get through this heat. First up is the Life - Proof Ultra Matte Fixing Spray (exclusive debut price P549/50ml; SRP P649), the newest addition to their setting spray lineup. Perfect for summer and described to be beach-proof, this setting spray has micro powders in the formula for that extra matte finish and ultimate hold. With ingredients like niacinamide, panthenol, Centella Asiatica, and vegan ceramides, this setting spray is comfortable to wear while boosting hydration.
The Cushion Tint - Velvet Lip Stain (exclusive debut price P349/4ml; SRP P449) is the other half of the summer collection. Nine striking shades enriched with lip caring ingredients like squalene, sunflower seed, vitamin E and grapeseed oil. The Launch
In a celebration of Women’s Month, GRWM Cosmetics gathered strong women from different fields to talk about what it means to be a woman, their individual challenges, and their paths to success.
Nicole Dela Cruz, founder of Women’s Run PH, shared that confidence is a great motivator for women and that taking charge of beauty strengthens and empowers that confidence. Right before they cross that well-deserved finish line, she observes that runners would touch up their lipstick and take the victory representing themselves.
MJ Marfori is a world-renowned journalist with over 15 years of experience, having interviewed top celebrities like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Celine Dion. In work and in life she finds that preparation is everything! And when self-doubt starts to creep in, go back to your center and never forget yourself.
Rikki Dela Peña is a Miss Universe Philippines finalist and found that modeling has no limits and encourages everyone to ignore the trends and find what works best for you instead. Use beauty as the tool and ally it can be.
After an inspiring talk, guests were treated to a vision board session, building our own personal vision boards for success and goals.

My Review
The lip stain is extremely cooling with that touch of menthol which can feel tingly on the lips and have a slight lip plumping effect. I do not recommend using this lip stain if you have chapped or cracked lips as it could cause some irritation. Hit those lips up with added hydration and a nourishing lip balm before diving into this cooling lipstain. This is a long-lasting stain. I went to bed and woke up with it still on!

A hot day can cause both sweat and oil buildup on the skin, which can melt your makeup and make a huge mess. You can’t stop sweat but you can manage oil with the right setting products. I like to use both setting powder and setting spray for my longer days out but for this test run I stuck with just the Ultra Matte Setting Spray. The day ended up going as high as 36 degrees and I had a bridal shower to get to. After being out in the sun, I had to dab sweat away but I didn’t see any transfer on the tissue. My makeup base put up a good fight against a day of bridal shower games and my natural oil buildup!
Next time, I would combine this with my setting powder in my routine. It’s also important to note that the spray bottle is small enough to pop into your bag and reapply for a touch up and keep matte longer.
